Wheat Belly fans

For all you Wheat Belly fans, Dr. William Davis will be on the Dr. Oz show today.
My husband is actually home today with the kids so I'd pay to see his reaction. He's a Dr. Davis fan but loathes Dr. Oz. Lol!

Finally unfrozen? Son is home as well. I try to keep wheat at bay but it is in soo many things. My stomach is so much better since I have restricted greatly.

Yes! Finally unfrozen! How about in the big NOLA? I tell ya, it doesn't take much to wreak havoc down south huh? Lol! We're just not equipped for that sort of situation.

Planning to watch it, even though I don't care for Oz!!!

Janknitz 01-30-2014 02:40 PM

You can watch it online and skip the rest of Oz.

I recorded it today. Haven't had the chance to watch just yet. What is the word--good, bad?

Cajungirl200 01-30-2014 05:39 PM

I recorded it too. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet either.

I thought it was pretty good. Fun to watch the Italian mother try the shirataki noodles that are a great substitute for pasta. I don't think so either!!!

Loath oz.won' t watch. Don't want to add to his "hits'.

Read the book and attended a lectUre by Dr. Davies. I am a fan.... Big time!

Sooo I recorded it wrong! Lol! My husband said it was actually a repeat he's seen before. It sounds like a good episode. Husband said that Dr Davis chose audience members and one day gave them a snickers bar then tested their blood sugar level. Next day gave them plain wheat toast and tested blood again. Surprise! 3 out of the 5 had much higher levels with toast. It boggles my mind that people watch that and still don't get it.

It was a rerun then. Thanks for posting. I was going to watch it but won't bother now. I saw it last year. Not like it's going to change my mind about anything.

Madmarsha 01-30-2014 11:52 PM

I thought it was new. It wasn't the one with the Snickers bars.

The guide on my tv said it was new. I am sure it was. Will have to watch today.

Cajungirl200 01-31-2014 07:20 AM

Sorry everyone!! I asked my husband this morning if it was new?? He ASSUMED it was a rerun! Really?! Come to find out he didn't even watch it!! Geez! Lol!!
So sorry for the misinformation!!

dawnyama 01-31-2014 07:21 AM

You can always go to his website to see the clips, since you didn't record.

Cajungirl200 01-31-2014 07:36 AM

Good deal! Thanks Dawn!!

sarahatl 01-31-2014 10:18 AM

How can you view it online?

dawnyama 01-31-2014 12:59 PM

You have to go to Dr Oz's site. It will be there.

islegirl 01-31-2014 04:41 PM

Watched it yesterday - it was a new show and I enjoyed it. Today I went out to buy "Wheat Belly Cookbook" and am looking forward to using it. He caught my attention with the flax wraps. As far as the Shir.........sp? noodles are concerned I'll just use spirallized zucchini or spaghetti squash I think.
Have any of you tried his recipes from this book yet?
