I broke down and bought some new clothes (in my smallest size in almost 10 years). Now I have the problem of what to wear - not because nothing fits but because everything does!

Comparing before and after photos really does help!! I had posted one when my nephew was born and could really see the difference!

Flying to see my family in Houston has been so much easier.. I am no longer taking up more room than the seat allows.

And of course, buying smaller clothes!

Latest victory - my skin tone has improved as my insulin resistance has corrected. My armpits and neck are now only a shade or two darker than the rest of my body!

That's fantastic! You are getting those blood sugar demons under control! I love hearing about long-term problems like the diabetes-related skin issues getting resolved. That takes some serious work - something to be proud of

Also, on the fourth of July, I wore my bikini around town with shorts on. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

Wow, that is one big NSV! WTG!

I love all these wonderful NSVs. And we never know when we'll get a new one... What wonderful surprises!

muffin top

I can now tuck in my shirts for work and not feel self consious about the muffin top. I know there is a tiny bit since im curvy but it doesnt look bad. Now i'm having to shop for polos that actually fit, not 1 to 2 sizes bigger.

Bough a pair of pants online that were a touch small when delivered. Six days into Atkins Induction, they fit perfectly. I know it's water weight but I'll take it.

I've got a second one today. I had short workout on my schedule today but when I got home I said "Meh. Don't want to." Turned on the TV and promptly got mad at myself, put on my sports bra and did 25 minutes of jumping jacks, strength moves and plyometrics.

Another big one for me is weighing less than my husband. Finally!

Can't wait until I no longer have to take weight related meds such as BP meds.

Looking forward to getting out of the obese category, then getting out of the overweight into the normal weight category.

Not sure if already mentioned but looking better in person than your 4 y.o. driver's license. I need a new one. I'm still gonna lie but I'll put my goal weight and I'm hoping I'll surpass that and again weigh less than my driver's license.

Okay, that's sort of still a scale victory, but you don't need a scale to see that my double chin doesn't exist anymore.

Not sure if this is a NSV per say buy i was driving my wife's F150 and my wife noticed that i look so much shorter in the seat than before.
I also noticed that i had to really adjust the mirror downwards than before when i was 400+lbs.

Hopefully i can see over dash when i get to goal lol.

Now, don't everyone run out & try to experience this one... lol... I just needed to find a reason to be happy today...

Getting x-rays used to be tough when I was at my heaviest. Even if I was not in pain, trying to get positioned on those hard, flat x-ray tables was difficult. Then having to get up again was even worse. I always felt like a bug flipped on its back & flailing around helplessly.

I got to try that at an Urgent Care Clinic this morning & it was really no problem at all. It was all pretty effortless. That was a nice experience compared to what I used to go through.

The x-rays showed I've got a broken foot. lol... I've got a soft cast & orders to stay off my foot as much as possible until I can get in to see an ortho, hopefully early next week. Couch potato weekend!

We have a cheap Walgreens wrist blood pressure monitor and the 1st week on my WOE my BP was 173/113. Scary!!

I tried again when i just passed the 100lbs mark and my BP was 130/87. I switched to decaf after this point.

Yesterday i tried and my medium (4 tries) was 106/85. Yay

I use a sleep tracking app on my cell phone that also registers & tracks resting heart rate. I've really been enjoying watching my RHR drop as I become more fit & active. It is a little confirmation that all my efforts to get healthy are paying off. It is usually in the low 50s & it occasionally drops into the 40s. Yesterday my RHR was 44!

I HAVE a pair of what I always called my clown pants. I made them probably in 1970, and they've been in a box until a few minutes ago. The directions are something like those at the Easy Breezy Wrap Pants Tutorial
Easy Breezy Wrap Pants Tutorial | Laupre
MINE are swirls of bright colors, reds, yellows, blues, greens, flowers, circles, leaves, etc, and I think they are SUPER. In fact, if I can find a shirt to go with them, I may wear them to a celebration next week--ME, celebrating my body! And I won't look like a clown in them!
I may even make another pair or two, because they are easy to make, easy to wear, and I need a change. Since I put in a drawstring one one topside, as I continue releasing fat and body mass to the Universe, they will fit and look better and better!
Ella5
I AM joyously consciously releasing and letting go of excess body weight and mass every day!

I realized recently I haven't used a vending machine to buy really any snacks this calendar year. I think a water or 2 when I was desperate but think of all the money saved when not buying chips (1.00) or sugary pop (1.40) or candy bars (1.25).
I keep a few bucks for emergencies (they have peanuts) but really don't go through all that change.

I stopped and looked at a vending machine recently when I was waiting for tires to be installed on my car. I bought a diet soda, and looked into the snack machine just out of boredom and curiosity. The thought of putting in a dollar, never crossed my mind. A year ago, I would have bought something out of boredom.

I bought smaller sized shoes today I didn't have to worry about getting an extra wide width either - possibly wide (now I can't remember) but it was so easy to walk into a "regular" shoe store and at the outlets - walked out with 3 pairs - croc sandals, sneakers, and a pair of water shoes
