The last time I was car shopping, a few years ago, a major concern was fitting comfortably in the driver's seat. Most were a very tight fit.

I remembered that awful experience while looking at cars today. I'm very happy to find I don't need to worry about whether I will fit in the seat anymore. They all fit with room to spare!

I have two, even though I only started 7 weeks ago and am still a long, long way away from a normal weight:

1. I can now suck my stomach in! Only a couple of months ago, when I was trying to suck in my gut, nothing was happening - I was so full of visceral fat, there was nothing my muscles could compress any further. Now there's some available space...

2. My brother, who lives abroad and didn't even know I changed my diet, saw some recent pictures on FB and told me I looked slimmer! Apparently, his wife made the same comment as well, unprompted...

My cholesterol numbers have improved and are in the "normal" range.

This time last year it was "borderline high", and my doctor was threatening me with medication.

Yeah for me..I bought a pair of jeans that did not fit. I stuck them in my cedar chest to be with all my other clothes that were too tight. Got them out and now they are too big in the hips and loose in the waist. Now they do not fit again! Hey wait a minute..

I ordered some jeans in my usual size and when I got them and tried them on, they're too big!
I am now a comfortable size 12 I am guessing because the 14s are too big! I am wearing one of the too big pairs since I really needed jeans, but can't wait to go exchange the others for a smaller size
My goal is a 8/10 I thought but my goal weight is 135-140 so the size may be smaller.

My vitals and blood stats were good enough yesterday that I was able to donate plasma for the first time ever.

Plus, Friday I put five pairs of too-big mom jeans in the fat box in the garage and I bought two pairs of new skinny jeans. One pair that fits me now and one pair for when I make goal. The smaller ones have a bling-y booty and were from the junior's section. AMAZING sale at Kohl's! The clothes were pretty much free.

Yay for blood work and too-big jeans!

I'm waiting until I'm back in onederland to try on the one too-small pair that I have.

It is official. My feet have shrunk and my new shoes prove it.

My feet used to measure 7.5 W but I always had to size up to 8 W. Now my feet measure just under 7.5 M but not 7 M yet. The 7.5s I tried on were too big so I ended up sizing down to 7 M! The shoes must run big but it is still good news!

When I got up to 240 lbs my feet grew to size 8. Now that I'm back to 180ish I'm back to a size 7.5.

My next non scale victory will be feeling comfortable enough to wear yoga pants. Right now I'm too bulgy and only wear jeans or dresses so I don't make people sick seeing me all bulgy and gross. I refuse to wear stretchy pants until I don't need them to be stretchy.

Hmmmmm - I have several pairs of shoes that are a bit tight - maybe in the spirit of closet shopping, I can set them away so I don't get depressed when I look at them and then pull them out as I get closer to goal.

One of the things that really got me over the hump and ready to start losing weight again was my blood pressure. It's always been "good" but my last two annual checkups, it had gone up. Not to dangerous levels, but high enough that I knew it had to be brought down. It was around the 140-145/75-85 range. Since I've dropped over 40 pounds, I've been trying to keep a close watch on my BP. I check it a few times a week. Lately, I've been seeing readings in the 128-132 over 70 range. Staying off of BP medication is a huge incentive for me.

And this is a full 5 dress sizes smaller than I was at my highest

I am back into what used to be my skinniest jeans (my teenage son's hand-me-down Levi's 510 super-skinnies, size 30) and they aren't even snug. I had forgotten how amazing they look on me! I have two pairs of jeans that I bought recently which are still too small, so I have at least one more non-scale goal to achieve before I finally reach my goal weight and will be switching to fitness-related goals.

Love reading these!

Continuing on with my original NSV at beginning of thread - it's so much easier for me to just bend down and pick things up - putting in my garden and doing yard work this year was a breeze compared to last year.

My back is far less stiff and much more flexible.

As fun as it is to be losing inches, this is the kind of NSV that means the most to me. Every single day I am amazed at what I can do now & how easily I do it compared to not even thinking of doing the same things a year or two year ago. Every day is a gift.

I don't ever want to forget how hard life was at my heaviest; just moving was a painful chore.

Down a size from 28 to 26, able to wear size 3X in department stores now. Also, at the skating rink, was able to fit into one of the snackbar booths. Still not completely comfortable, but I definitely see progress. Not bad for being down 13 lbs.

Today, I spent about 2+ hours ripping out Bermuda Grass (from Hades). At one point, I realized, I was just leaning down and ripping and digging and not bending my legs into a deep crouch. OK - this is the third time I've mentioned it in one thread.... It really did bother me.

I have always said I demand reparations from Bermuda for all the time and effort I have spent pulling out Bermuda grass - and they can have their #$&*%@#& grass back!

Congrats on being able to pull Bermuda grass in a more ergonomic way. But sorry you have to pull it at all.

Me too on the out of date things lol, I was so proud to put something on today, but the shirt was way too short, which I guess was ok 5 yrs ago but tops and tshirts seem to be longer now. Had to throw it in the donate pile.

I put on a sleep shirt this evening that used to fit me tight when I was heavier and it came to about waist length on me then. That shirt used to be really tight on me and came only like past my bellybutton like a shirt. Tonight when I put it on, not only is it much looser, VERY loose but it comes all the way down past my knees now. Now it fits like a night gown instead of a sleep shirt. Also I had one of the customers I was ringing up comment that I had lost some weight since she last saw me in the store.

Good for you Nikki, You must be so proud!
I have a pair I bough Dec 2013, had to get them hemmed so couldn't wear them. Went on vacation for 2months and haven't been able to wear them since. (still has the tag on!)
I can do them up now (more than I could do a couple months ago).. But everything just spills out the top and they look terrible. Hoping I can get my butt back in them soon.

Closet shopping is so fun - I actually like getting into older clothes as much or more than buying something new!

I'm not sure if this is a NSV or not... MY daughter asked me this morning if she could wear the BRAND NEW pants I just bought!! I bought them a little snug because the next size up was too big, but when she came downstairs wearing them and they fit her beautifully all I could think to myself is, Wow, I'll look that great in about 8 more pounds! She has the greatest athletic body!! Of course I let her wear them, but I told her when she gets compliments she has to tell her friends they are her mom's pants
