I also have not had heartburn for a while. I used to eat antacids almost every day.

My top ten non-scale victories so far would be...

10. I don't sweat so much
9. I'm not winded so much from chlimbing stairs/walking
8. I actually have a pair of "skinny jeans"... yes, men have these too ladies. LOL
7. Speaking of jeans, the smaller you get the cheaper they are (saving money)
6. Closet shopping-- I recently wrote in my journal how I wore an old shirt for the first time in a couple of years now that I've lost some of my gut.. feels great
5. I don't struggle to get in and out of the tub (I'm taking more baths rather than showers)
4. Sleeping better
3. Everyday I am seeing the "proof in the pudding" that is this LC WOE lifestyle
2. Compliments and kudos from family and friends who are noticing the change
1. I'm learning to love me again rather than pity and feel sorry for me for being overweight/obese; I smile a whole lot more these days

1. I can actually close the bath towel when I wrap it around myself!
2. I have Severe Anxiety/Panic Disorder, and since switching to LC I have had no (none! NOT ONE!) incidents. Not so much as a flutter or my heart racing. I suspect this has to do with keeping my blood sugar a lot more even throughout the day. But this is a huge deal for me!!

I'm only on my fifth day of re-induction, but I already feel better. I've lost five pounds (of water, I'm sure... who cares?), so my face and ankles are no longer puffy. I don't feel as anxious as I sometimes do, and my pants don't hurt!

After cutting out carbonated beverages (1 per day max) I've solved my gas problem, LOL. I was worried I was super maltitol-sensitive, but not the case luckily!

Since going low-carb, I've been able to maintain my weight and psychological/emotional health with great success.

I'm shocked because now I can eat 1500-2000 calories a day, not be starving, and not gain weight! Compared to eating starvation-style 2 years ago and purging, and gaining as soon as I went over 1000 calories. Usually I'd end up binging on carbs and sweets and feeling horrible for a week. I can finally eat "whatever" I want and be calm and happy about my diet.

Plus, I was looking in the mirror the other day ( I haven't weighed myself in weeks! but everything fits perfect, so why bother.) And noticed all the cellulite I have had under my butt and on the back of my thighs since I hit puberty has smoothed out and tightened up! I think it's the butter and low-carb diet, since I was working out and walking tons during my eating disorder days, weighed 15 lbs or more less, and still had cellulite.

Finally got my hubby on board!
No more bread or pasta in the house so I dont have to attempt to make 2 meals and avoid eating what I made him.
It's been so much easier when we both have the same mind frame and at 8:00pm a little voice next to me isn't chirping; Wine?!?! (Cuz the answer is ALWAYS.. Yes.. Yes I do)

Great thread! I wish there was a "Like" button for these...

I guess my favorite NSV so far is being able to walk more than a few steps without feeling like I can't breathe!

I am down 110 pounds from this time last year

Oh my! To be honest, every single day is filled with wonderful NS gifts at this point!

I often notice that my step is so light that I seem to be floating instead of walking - or lumbering as I used to do.

And, when I fall despite my floating, I recover well. No broken ankles these days. But, I need to face the fact that my shoes are now too big (even with heavy socks) and I need to buy smaller ones before I do some serious damage. My feet have shrunk in size! I told myself I won't buy new ones until these fall off but maybe my falling should be the red flag!

According to a guy I do volunteer work with, I've "lost a whole person!" lol... He got this amazed look on his face & told another volunteer that I'd done that.

I can stand for hours on end & have no pain at all in my feet or legs now.

I love looking in the mirror and seeing the wonderful changes. And knowing it is going to keep getting better!

I replaced my wardrobe completely with a smaller one in the last year & will do the same again this year. I just took 20 tops/blazers/sweaters to consignment. I guess it is a NSV to shrink in size before my clothes have a chance to wear out. The money I get helps me pay for smaller clothing. My new hobby is stalking nice clothes for the lowest prices.

I'm 1 week or a little more into a restart. I haven't gotten a good reading on the scale yet but my biggest pants were uncomfortably tight. Now they are much easier to get on & reasonably comfortable. My goal is just to stay away from anything that doesn't make it home. You know what I mean.

I wore low-waisted skinny jeans out to dinner last night. With no Spanx. I tried the outfit with Spanx and the Spanx actually made it look worse, so I took them off. NO SPANX!!!! YES!!!

1. My acanthosis nigricans is starting to disappear, its an embarrassing condition that appears when insulin leaks through the skin and creates dark velvety patches of skin. particularly between the beasts, neck, armpits and thighs. Luckily mine was not as bad as others, but most of the patches are gone.

2. I can walk again. I can hike again. Still over 300 pounds but at least I am active again. When I was 344 I could barely walk for a couple mins at a time.

Love this! I too have kissed my Spanx Goodbye. There are so many great NDV here and I can relate to so many.

I just threw away two pairs of jeans that I have had for a long time. These jeans are size 12 and I always seemed to rely on them, especially when I gained weight back because they always seemed to fit. When I lost weight I would still wear them, I just tightened my belt.

Now my beloved "go-to" jeans are so baggy that the seat hung down to the middle of my leg. I sucked it up, said goodbye and threw them out. I think they were a security blanket, but they gave me a false sense of security.

The size 8's I have on now are getting baggy so I see a shopping trip in my future. I don't know why I held on to those jeans for so long, I'm just happy to be rid of them.

I love reading these! I can just see everyone laughing & grinning and celebrating together!

I'm not sure when exactly this one happened but it took me a while to figure out what the "problem" was. lol...

I live alone & my dining room is set up as an office. I have always had meals while seated in the living room watching TV. No need for a TV tray - my lap worked great great for that. Well, it used to.

I started having problems balancing my plate and just kept getting really annoyed with myself. I swear it took forever for me to realize that my "table" had shrunk considerably & there wasn't enough of it left to hold a plate!

So much for built in furniture!

One of my victories is riding on the back of my boyfriends motorcycle and not worrying about me being so heavy that it slows us down hahahaha. Also, as of this morning I finally weigh less than him. He is 5'11 and 165.. Sure I am only 5'4-5'5 but it beats being a half foot shorter and 40 pounds heavier I love reading everyone's victories so keep it up!

My NSV, last week as I was carrying a 30 pound bag of dog food to the car,
I realized that at my heaviest, I 'carried' two of those bags on my body.
Now those two bags are gone and I'm working towards losing more!

I'm loving these NSVs! I can't wait until my drawers get droopy !

My NSV for right now is that my energy seems great . I've been exercising, and even when I don't get enough sleep I still feel better than I do when I'm eating carbs.

Had an awesome NSV this morning. The weather has warmed here a little bit so I took my kids to the park this morning. Normally I sit on a picnic bench while they play on the playground, but my energy levels have drastically improved with this woe, so I was out there going right alongside them! They had a blast and SO DID I!!!!
