I recently went back to low carb because of horrible reflux.

I haven't had any since.

I took measurements on July 1 and on Aug 1, and the change is amazing. I've lost 2'' on each thigh!!!

A pair of Lane Bryant size 18 skinny jeans that would barely go 2'' above my knee on July 1, now go all the way up and zip up!! Granted, I still need to lose another 5 lbs before I can wear them comfortably, but I can't believe the progress.

In addition, a pair of size 16s that wouldn't go up to my knees on July 1, now go all the way up to my hips! Another 15lbs, and I think I can wear them.

At my highest weight, I was a size 22W, but now wear an 18 very comfortably. Woohoo!

NSV although I'm not happy with the number on the scale, I wore the tightest dress in the world to an event last night and I didn't feel one bit self conscious. I did feel a little sassy though

Even after ~45 total carb, high calorie days, my blood ketones have remained at ~1.6 the next day, and my hunger has stayed at bay!

Mary - you look fabulous!!

Emita, that is great!! It is my theory that being in ketosis for a length of time makes a person more 'stable' and the occasional higher carb day (read something under 100g) will not disrupt ketosis. Kind of the reverse of coming from being a glucose burner to a ketone burner. Takes at least a few days to get there.

Type 2 diabetic, just recently (foru weeks ago) put on Lantus insulin. After three weeks low carb, my blood sugar levels have been so good my doctor has taken me off insulin completely!

Bought 34w shorts today. First time in my adult life that I've worn a size 34w. Looking forward to buying jeans or pants that are now the same waist as length! Because finding 38w x 34L is nearly impossible now. Seems lately, the bigger the waist, the shorter the lengths they come in!

Still haven't lost any weight according to my scale, in two months. I'm hoping lifting weights 3 days a week is offsetting the weight loss?

This is more a behavioral NSV. I have been on this WOE for over six months, and I while I very occasionally have cheat meals or days, I rarely think about them. I used to really dream about my next cheat day, or think about what I was missing. I feel like I have keto adapted but mentally. I went camping all weekend and there was all sorts of food...but I didn't even think about cheating, or feel anxious or sad about not cheating. Same with my cousin's wedding, night's out at the pub, etc. Never in my life have I had this sort of control where it is past needing intense willpower and motivation (most of the time...it never goes away 100%...last night I had to fight with myself not to overeat peanut butter) and more to a default setting. It feels really good!

I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I have ever bought pants where the waist was the same as the inseam. Must be the 1% spandex.

I WENT SHOPPING TODAY . . . in my spare closet You know, the boxes that have smaller clothes. I got rid of the 2X and 22W and am now in XL and 18 W I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe.

I love this thread: insulin gone, clothing sizes smaller, behavior and attitude changes etc.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Today's NSV was having two of my middle school students visibly surprised at my change and not know how to quite ask or comment on my weightloss. Lol

Most of my coworkers I have not seen in the past 5 weeks, they have all commented in a positive way or another. Although scale didn't move that much this month, new clothes, new hair style, a golden tan and time "away" makes me look really different I guess. .

Congrats to everyone on each of your victories! May we remember all of these when faced with a tough day.
