Meet My Doctor!

Meet my doctor, Dr. Naiman. He explained insulin resistance to me in 2005 and saved my life. I lost about 1/3 of my body weight following his recommendations. He tackled me on Monday, in a nice way, noting the fallout from my straying during the past holiday season. He put me back on course. Here are his videos explaining his dietary and exercise recommendations.

I recently looked at his photos on facebook - good grief, he is *ripped.* I had no idea what was under that white coat....!

He is recommending that I read "Grain Brain" and try Nutritional Ketosis. I am hanging out in the Nutritional Ketosis threads now.

great vid.....The information was known to me via LCF (it comes up alot) but to see it laid out in such a clear way was refreshing.
thanks

Okay, so where is this ripped specimen on Facebook? Couldn't find him.

clackley 01-26-2014 03:16 PM

I live this doctor! Great video. I don't really like the glycemic index but loved how he used it transitioning to glycemic load. Very good stuff!

I really enjoyed this video, just posted it on another thread. I really wish that I could get certain family members to check it out.

I live in Seattle... I wonder if he's accepting new patients...?

DiamondDeb 01-26-2014 04:58 PM

Wow! He sounds impressive! And he definitely looks good w/o his shirt on, too.

I'm looking forward to the videos & will watch them in a bit.

leeloo 01-26-2014 05:06 PM

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

watcher513 01-26-2014 05:21 PM

What a Great video! It's so very easy to understand watching this.

Key Tones 01-26-2014 06:27 PM

Glad you are enjoying the video. Yes, I am lucky!

He's on facebook as Ted Naiman in Seattle.

I do believe he is taking new patients. I don't have problems getting appointments. He works the late hours (not every night), so I see him sometimes as late as 7:00.

If you need a Low Carb friendly doctor check out Dr. Brogren at Revitalize Clinic in Woodinville. She is my doctor and has helped me lose 57 pounds so far.

DiamondDeb 01-26-2014 06:33 PM

I enjoyed both videos. He does a great job making things easy to understand.

BumbleStang 01-26-2014 10:35 PM

Great video thanks for posting

snowangel9 01-27-2014 08:16 PM

That's awesome! Thanks for posting this. I don't think I have ever heard of a Dr. linking sugar and cancer like that. Plus he's hot and a hoot! Really did enjoy that Key Tones!

Ntombi 01-27-2014 09:23 PM

Thanks for posting this! The information isn't new (to us), but it's presented in a way that I think most people can understand.

I'm adding this to my list of things I can point to when someone wants more than just a few sentences, but doesn't want to read a book.

Thanks!

I think I am uploading a photo.

Mimosa23 01-28-2014 02:40 AM

Hi Key Tones,

Thanks for sharing all that!

Not only does Dr. Naiman have good stuff to say, he's pretty easy on the eye too....

TowerOrchard 01-28-2014 04:52 AM

Awesome video! As others have said, most of the info isn't new if you have done your low carb homework, but it is great way to explain to others the choices I am making. Thanks for posting!

maternalone 02-06-2014 03:54 PM

Thank you for sharing this video!! It is so validating and inspiring to have a doctor support and advocate this woe.

AngeloftheHeart 02-06-2014 05:50 PM

Thank you for the refresher and I actually learned a few new things too :)

Fitforever 02-06-2014 05:57 PM

Loved both videos. So easy to understand. My wife is viewing the videos tonight so that she can better understand my high fat ketogenic diet and the high intensity Sprint 8 interval routines that I do 2-3 times each week on my spin bike. I also do tons of pushups and pull ups to failure like Dr. Naiman recommends.

Key Tones 02-06-2014 08:40 PM

I'm so glad you liked them!

I am really enjoying videos and podcasts lately, rather than blogs and books. It is a great way to get motivated and quickly understand what to do.

DownSizin' 02-07-2014 01:36 PM

Thanks for sharing Key Tones. I have really enjoyed the first video and plan on watching the exercise video later. Might even motivate me to workout!
