Eating and snacking ideas

I know this gets discussed over and over, but going to bring it up again. I have low carbed on and off for years. It is truely the only diet that works. I need help with foods and snacking. I do not like sweets, I am a nurse practitioner in a VERY busy practice, i generally stand at least 7 hours each day and rarely get more than 15 mins for lunch. Ideas for foods other than eggs, meat and salads?? Thanks in advance!!!!!

This time I AM GOING TO DO IT and stay with it

Nuts, veggies like broccoli, carrots (come in pre-washed snack bags many times), hot tea, olives.

I don't really snack much. I find eating 3 good meals per day generally eliminates that need. I do keep raw almonds in my car for times when I'm away from home at mealtime. A few almonds satisfy me until I am home & can fix a meal.

Meat/cheese/lettuce rollups or wraps might be good choices for you.

I've seen some recipes floating around for home-made beef jerky. Maybe try that? Otherwise I have no clue because eggs, meat and salads are pretty much what I live on.

I would get up a tad earlier and eat a very very hardy breakfast. That would actually eliminate the 'need' for snacking in a way.

that way you can get thru the day on a smaller fast lunch.

make lc beef stew
lc soups
bring ANY meal leftovers from home you cook
hamburger patty with cheese you can microwave to heat
chicken wings nuked
hot broth, tea for snacking (this is satisfying to me cause it is warm. warm makes me happier than cold snacks).

Buys some nice sliced roast beef, spread it w/cream cheese and put a pickle on the end of the slice and roll. You can put these in baggies for a work lunch or snack, and they're very tasty. You can season the cream cheese in many fun ways too.

Like others here, I love raw almonds. You can have a nice handful for very few carbs. Or, roast some pecan halves w/butter and cayenne pepper and splenda, or the sweetener of your choice. These are so yummy you can over eat them, but if you put a moderate amt in a baggie for lunch or work snack, very satisfying.

Also, there are many recipes on this site and on line for LC one minute muffins of all sorts. One of these warmed and buttered could make another great snack.

Cup of blackberries (about 6 ncs) w/cream and splenda/SF vanilla flavoring. Or whip up some cream w/frozen blackberries and a splash of sweetener in the blender---if you have a fridge at work to keep it cold.

And don't forget deviled eggs, beef jerky, raw veggies of any kind w/a good dip

Oh... since I eat three good meals per day I usually don't drink bpc. But I do drink it on mornings (like the weekend) when I will be home for a while and usually have the habit of snacking. It makes me so full that I don't even think about food. Maybe try that and just stop snacking all together?
