Dec 1, 1 Year LC Anniversary

Don't have a scale at home, but I know that I feel and look better than I have in 20 years. Husband too.

Thanks to all the great advice and tips in this forum. Always there to give reassurance about stalling, water weight, and just good old-fashioned patience.

I'm so happy for you and your husband. Healthy eating and living are sooo important and sometimes we tend to put them on the back burners.

Congrats on taking care of yourself!

Do you have any idea how much weight you have lost? Do you measure so you know you are on track? I bet you have some huge losses!
The longest I've ever truly stuck it out is about 6 months and they I start to wander towards the processed food. You are inspiring me to stay strong.

CONGRATS!

Big congrats on your anniversary!

And I really love this in your post..."just good old fashioned patience." Patience is hard, and we all struggle w/it I think, certainly myself included.

But one of the many non food oriented NSVs for me is learning to slow down in my weight loss efforts, in the sense that I'm no longer willing to do what I once was just to lose weight, because I've found that I gain it back.

Now I just do a LC woe the best I know how, and wait/weight for the scale to follow my lead. I really want to be in this for the long term this time. And the more I type that out, the more I realize how much I want it.
