You can still have yummy dessers for Thanksgiving!
I just took a basic apple crisp recipe and made it low carb. Instead of flour and sugar and oatmeal, and of course butter. I subbed carbquik, almond flour, chopped walnuts, and splenda, and butter. I used less apples than the regular recipe, since apples are a bit higher in carbs. (you can use berries too). I just tried a bit and OMG I think it's better than the regular recipe! And while everyone is having ice cream with theirs I will use fresh whipped cream. Can't wait until tomorrow!!
You don't have to deprive yourself on Holiday's. Just be a bit creative. :jumpjoy:
