I mean, I know how to feed myself. Heck, I even worked as a chef a lifetime ago. But I also tend to fall into ruts and eat the same thing over and over ... until one day I look around and think, "Man, I need something new."

So thank you, those of you who share your menus and recipes. And I mean, all of them. It was great to learn about Crackslaw -- but equally great, just now, to remember someone who said she'd mashed up some HB eggs with butter, salt and pepper for her lunch. I just tried that. It was exactly what I needed! delicious!

So -- you're all awesome. You make this so much more do-able, and fun. :)

If you haven't found it yet, check out the Induction Porn. It is under Weight Loss Plans, Atkins Induction. I think there are 3 threads now, all huge....when it gets too big the administrator closes it and starts a new one.

I know! When I first did LC years ago, I was a regular on a Usenet message board, and was around when a lot of the early recipes were being passed around. Cauliflower was a revelation to me -- first, as a replacement for mashed potatoes (and even when I went off LC later, I still preferred the "fauxtatoes") and also a recipe for cauliflower-cheese soup with bacon that's one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten, regardless of carb count.

This really is a great way to eat. It takes a lot more mindfulness than just thoughtlessly indulging in anything that's easy or looks tasty, but the food can be magnificent. And the creativity of the people creating the recipes is astounding.

I agree. I love seeing what other people are eating and get many ideas to keep things interesting. Now if only my kids would enjoy the meals as much as I do!

Just found pepitas....
They are really tasty AND nutritious. They are the nut meat of pumpkin seeds, no stringy shell. I bought the raw ones because one 1/4 cup serving has just 1g of net carbs, but 9 grams of protein and 15 g fat. I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to stop eating the roasted and salted ones!

LOL, Michelle. I know for a fact [and from bitter experience] that I definitely cannot stop eating the roasted and salted ones!
