Great Low Carb Bread Company

Netrition carries this bread product..I ordered the hamburger buns..2 net carbs.
I did the math and it works out pretty close..16 whole carbs and 14 fiber carbs.
They were great..No funny flavor at all..Will check my blood sugar and see if anything funky happened in a little bit.

Might try the "bagels"..;)

Great Low Carb Bread Company Hamburger Buns

shunsweets 11-01-2013 02:30 PM

I tried the pumpernickel bagels. Very good and no blood sugar spike for me.

GailyGail 11-01-2013 03:18 PM

Please let us know how the hamburger buns work out for you. I really miss having a bun with burgers. Thank you SO MUCH!

snowmop 11-01-2013 04:00 PM

OOOOOH!!!!!!! They have rye bread!!! I just might have to try that.

CarolynF 11-01-2013 06:04 PM

No rise in my blood sugar either. Dh said this bun
Tastes neutral. I said that is a good thing.

Catzmom 11-01-2013 06:47 PM

I just ordered the bagels. Hoping for good things!

NurseChef 11-01-2013 09:47 PM

I'm hoping that zero carb bread I had seen is good. Atkins who I called asked me to use a zero net carb bread so that I don't get my 20 net carbs/day impacted. I'm hopeful.

clackley 11-02-2013 07:43 AM

This product would not fit a wheat free woe. It also contains soy.

CarolynF 11-02-2013 11:23 AM

Right, Clackley..Not good for gluten peeps, either..

CarolynF 11-11-2013 12:13 PM

Well, I got some bagels (the multi-grain kind) and they are great toasted with cream cheese with no real blood sugar rise. I also got some bread (not bad) and hot dog
rolls which I will use with brats.

How about anyone else?

MsWoods 11-11-2013 12:15 PM

Fantastic Carolyn! I'm so happy to hear this review! I've been wanting to order some and try but wanted yall to be the guinea pigs first:laugh:

CarolynF 11-11-2013 12:18 PM

Thanks, Michelle..:)

Julie1972 11-11-2013 01:54 PM

I ordered the Everything bagels and they are delicious. To get the right texture you have to toast them. They are really good though, especially with only 2 net carbs. Will definitely order them again!

grammaB 11-11-2013 02:35 PM

I have the everything bagels and I'll add for other diabetics, I didn't see a spike from them. I'm going to try the hamburger buns next!

CarolynF 11-11-2013 04:55 PM

Great news, gramma..The hamburger buns were good, too. I keep mine in the freezer and take them out and put them in a plastic bag to "thaw"..It is better than the microwave.

Tweaker Geek 11-12-2013 06:54 PM

I just received the hot dog buns and plain bread today. I had a hot dog for dinner with onins on a hot dog bun and it was really, really good. I split the bun, not completely through, and toasted in the toaster oven, then added the onions and hot dog topped with jalapeno mustard and sugar-free relish, yummy! I will be ordering more, I'd like to try one of everything; kind of pricey so a little at a time.

I wanted the everything bagels but Netrition is out of stock, I really want to try them!

sjl330 11-20-2013 05:15 AM

I ordered 2 loaves of this bread the other day. I can't wait to try it! I hope it's really low carb and it sounds like it is, hearing of all your results with blood sugar not spiking. Finally!!! I just hope it's good!

sjl330 11-20-2013 05:58 AM

I made the chocolate muffins by Sherrielee. Wow!! They are fabulous!!!

GailyGail 11-20-2013 06:45 AM

Do you guys still stay in ketosis after eating the bread, rolls and bagels?

Angeloco 11-20-2013 08:51 AM

I bought the everything bagels, hot dog and hamburger buns. They were all good. Bagel
toasted with cream cheese, hot dog buns toasted with loaded hot dog, and sloppy joes on the hamburger buns. Finally I don't have to make all the lc bread in the house. Yippee.

sjl330 11-21-2013 04:31 AM

Sorry I posted that about the chocolate muffins in this thread. I got confused where I was I guess, lol.

Anyway, I received the bread and tried the multi-grain toasted with eggs and it's really good!! I sure hope this stuff stays around. Now I'm excited to try some of the other items. I also got the Everything sliced bread. I haven't tried it but DH did and he said it was "decent". Whatever that means. I'm sure it's good too.
What a great find!!

That Girl 11-21-2013 07:50 PM

Are the hotdog and hamburger buns huge? I ordered Karb Krunchers hotdog and hamburger buns last year from another site and they were just way too much bread and were not very good. It was like sooooo much bread the hotdog got lost in it.

ncgirl 11-21-2013 07:57 PM

I haven't been disappointed by anything from this company - fantastic people behind it, I wish they sold stock!

sjl330 11-22-2013 05:07 AM

Does anybody know if this bread is available in any brick & mortar store?

Angeloco 11-22-2013 05:15 AM

I didn't think they were huge. In fact the hamburger bun might not be big enough to hold the size hamburger I like. Lol

jigglenomore 11-23-2013 12:18 PM

I am so thrilled to find your post, Carolyn, and everyone's follow-ups on these products! Can't wait to place my order!

Thanks again!

Elaine

Would love comparisons to this and the Julian line of bread products. The No-Carb Julian was terrible IMO. I never dislike food, but had to toss out $50 worth of the Julian product. I am not picky! It was mostly the consistency that got me...
