My children are older - they don't go out anymore for treats and that helps me. I don't buy treats to give out because we don't get in until the trick or treat curfew ends. Then there are the days after when everyone starts to bring in the leftovers. That's where the challenge begins. Not willing to chance my successes. so I turn the other way.

Make some fat bombs and you won't feel deprivation and you'll still be on plan. I admit that some of the candy bars will be hard to pass up until I remember one small snack sized candy bar will throw my weight loss off for TWO WEEKS. It isn't worth it.

I will have some chocolate candy. When, not sure. Tonight is Halloween and I am taking kiddo trick/treating but right now I have no desire. maybe tomorrow when a midget chocolate bar has my name on it that she receives tonight I might chow on one.

I wouldn't let one piece of candy derail me. I wouldn't deny myself a piece either if I really wanted it. I am mod. carb and I can easily stick in some candy, but like I said, I have to really want it.

Well, I ended up going overboard yesterday, but not with candy - peanut butter. I had about 50 grams of carb total for the day. Did not feel horrible this morning. I did feel a little deprived at first, but after a few spoonfuls of peanut butter, I was done. Funny how that works. Could not have another bite.

If I had decided to go with the sugar, I would have had many other bites. Even when I'm full, there's always a little place for more. And more.

But not with peanut butter...! Christmas, here I come!

I did it! Didn't touch any of the candy. There is a bowl of mini chocolate bars sitting on the table which I haven't touched. Hubby is taking some to work today when he comes home at lunch and I'm bringing some to work tonight. I'll give some of it to the kids and then it will be gone.

I am fragile right now. Newly restarted, not out of the first days carb burn out. I was off plan anyway & had chips and tangerines at a party a couple of days ago.
But that was then, this is NOW. I have RESTARTED... into day 3. I could have gone to a party... and stared at sweets until I caved. I stayed home & watched a movie. I'll be better able to resist once the burn out is done & the cravings subside.

I am actually super proud of myself that I managed to avoid sweets, chocolates (including Malteasers my fave!!) and even yummy looking Halloween cupcakes last night.

I'm only just back to the LC way, yesterday was day 4 and I was well and truly frustrated and craving the sugar. The only thing that stopped me was knowing I would have to go through the headaches that I always get on day 2 and 3 again.

In the end I whipped up some cream with a teaspoon of cocoa and some granulated sweetener and the sweetness and the fat in that left me feeling full and satisfied. And I finished off with a square of some yummy 80% dark chocolate. Woke up this morning and the scales showed a 2lb drop!! I was so happy for not caving
