1) swear at myself for delaying my weight loss yet another day
2) make a cup of coffee
3) head to the gym/pool/bike trail and get some miles in

The longer I think about being off plan the more likely I am to find an excuse to stay off plan. "Eh we have that dinner party in three days, so there's no real point to going back on induction."

Get it over with, and get back on the horse.

Slip ups in primal times were probably looked at as a positive thing because bingeing was probably a survival mechanism. Eat, and eat as much as you can when the food is there. In modern times we look at it as a negative, because food is always there, so we often over eat. My slips up in the last year have been more so, eating too many calories, and often I don't realize it until the end of the day. I try to compensate by eating less the next day, but it doesn't always work that way. What matters more is your weight loss trend over time. Are you on a downward slope, with regards to your weight, if you were to track it over a year? That is what is important. Not the temporary slip ups and gains. Also are you confident you know how to lose weight? Can you stay on plan for a week? Month? A few months? Sometimes it takes less than a week to undo a slip up, so if you can stay on plan for a week, you have nothing to worry about.
