Have you heard of fat bombs? They are calorie dense. Or bullet proof coffee (BPC). I use half butter and half peanut butter. Mix it together and freeze it in a paper cupcake liner. It has a really pleasant, nice texture when frozen. Bullet proof coffee is just coconut oil or butter mixed into coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but lots of people on here love it.

Also, 100g a day is certainly better than the masses who eat upwards of 300 per day. But it's not really all that low. Generally "low carb" is considered to be around 50 grams per day. I'm not saying you can't lose weight on 100, but it is a little high IMHO if your main goal is weight loss. Hope that helps!

Adding butter to meats when you cook them is so good and will add some calories.

My .02...I'd be really hesitant to start adding fat when you're still doing 100gm of carbs per day. Just my opinion, but I don't consider that low carb...and while we can get away with extra fats on low carb, that's not necessarily true as the carbs are added back in (from a health stand point).

If I recall, dr Aktins said some people may eat around 100g carbs a day in maintenance if they are active and not particularly insulin resistant. If those carbs are all from healthy sources like tons of veggies and a little fruit, I would still consider that low carb. I bet you paleo and primal plans easily hit 100g carbs for some people .

All depends on what your objectives are. If you are trying to lose weight, then I wouldn't worry about not eating enough if you are comfortable and losing.

I only have 2 meals a day and I don't worry about it. Eat when hungry and don't when you are not.

Perhaps I misunderstood. I didn't realize the OP was in maintenance.

I did say it was 'my opinion' that 100gm was not low carb. My 2 sons do paleo and I don't think they're low carb at all, although there is no doubt they are eating a much healthier diet than they were on the typical American diet.
