Bacon Jerky?!

Say what? Yes. There is such a thing as bacon jerky. 130 calories and 1 carb for an ounce.

I had never heard of it before either... I found it at rite-aid... next to some garlic onion peanuts, which I also purchased

Ah, the impulse buys!

When I first saw it I thought it was just pork jerky marketed as bacon jerky... I've had pork jerky before and it was very very dry and too salty. When I looked closer, I saw all the fat on it and decided it's worth a try. The texture is great!

pork, water, sea salt, sugar, natural flavoring

Of course I have no clue what the natural flavoring is.

It says it is "naturally wood smoked"

I've bought it at Walmart before. It's ok, but not my favorite way to eat bacon.

Normally bacon is too salty for me, and beef jerky is as well, so I thought for sure this would be too much for me... but it's perfect!

I haven't tried it but it looks good.

I did try some cherry pork jerky. It is good, but awfully sweet and carby for jerky.

Funny to see this post now, I just saw this in our local grocery store! I wonder if I could make my own in my dehydrator?
