You could just nibble his ear....
I don't think there is anything induction friendly you can buy there. Smuggle in pork rinds sugar free candy ?

bring in something yourself or start to teach yourself to just enjoy the movie while sipping on a diet drink (if you drink them) or a bottle of water.

I sometimes splurge on the popcorn but sometimes I do also try and just get a drink sometimes and get in the habit that I don't have to have food every time I go.

I bring almonds and coke zero.
Almonds aren't technically induction, but they are a nice portable LC snack.
You could also do crudités in dip. Get a snacky cup, pour a layer of dip or hummus on the bottom, they stick celery vertically to the top of the cup. Secure with lid.

Or celery & pb
Celery and cream cheese
Cream cheese muffins
Peanut butter fudge
Almond thin crackers and cheese?
One minute chocolate muffin split w butter?

Or just eat before you go?

Some types of microwave popcorn you can do 2-3 cups for around 5 net carbs. Butter & season it and eat one kernel at a time- very satisfying!

All good suggestions. Perhaps consider breaking the association of eating/watching a movie? Not trying to be preachy, just the thought that popped into my head.

How do you make your pork rinds? I have made chicken "chips" before with chicken fat and duck fat when we slaughtered the birds on my aunt's farm (at her request). My aunt loved 'em, but I was a youngun at the time and thought she was gross for eating them. LOL.

I just cooked the fat and we used the solids that floated to the top. How do you do pork?

Last movie I treated my sister - she got the large popcorn and supersized soda thinking we would share but I told her sorry I brought my own snacks. I had a diet pepsi and pork rinds. They were a bit noisy but hey it was an action flick and I just choose my crunch times strategically.

I've never got the whole eating at cinemas thing, you're only there for 2hrs and I don't like distractions from the film. Am I the only one?

Yes.

Just kidding. I am sure there are people who have never eaten at the movies. I'm not one of them. But I have learned to enjoy a movie with just a diet soda and maybe a handful of my son's popcorn.

I didnt go to the movies for a while when starting LC!!! For me, I go to the movies for the "experience". When I chose cheat meals, often, it was MOVIE POPCORN! Extra nasty pretend butter and salt until my lips hurt! Of course I carried around my movie popcorn "baby" for the following few days LOL.

Since theaters generally do not allow food to be brought in and can kick you out without a refund of your money if they catch you, smuggling in food is risky.

For me, a movie and popcorn always went hand in hand. When I realized I was avoiding going to movies because I didn't enjoy it as much without the popcorn, I finally 'got it' that I had an addiction. Kind of like the person who can't go out and enjoy themselves without that alcoholic drink.

So I'm with Bella, learning to enjoy doing things without food being part of the entertainment places food where it belongs...nutritious, tasty and enjoyable...but not entertainment.

I guess its all a personal thing... I see nothing wrong with eating while watching a movie if you have your snack in hand and that is all that you are going to eat... just trying to find some good LC snacks to take to the movie... not so much for me, but for my husband... I appreciate all the good idea's... they are all worth trying and LC too... greatly appreciated...

I agree with this.... When we do movie nights, We usually go to dinner before and I make very good choices... We go to the movie I buy (or smuggle in) a bottled water.

The movie is 2hrs or 2.5 with the previews. Movies do not have to equal food consumption.

Just fill up before hand, drink your water, and leave satisfied and accomplished!!

The best suggestion of all! All of those little nibbles, even "legal" ones add up and when you get close to goal and calories start to count more the little bad habits like snacking just because someone else is/ you always did before/ they're advertising food, etc. can really make a difference!
