Middle back pain

Up until about 2 weeks ago, I felt great. Then, all of a sudden I started dealing with mid-back pain (slightly down from my bra strap). It feels like the pain is starting at the spine and radiating outward horizontally...about 3-4" on either side of the spine.

If I stand without moving, I'm fine. Lying down, sitting or even walking makes it hurt. I'm careful to stretch before and after walking and doing the hand weights and machine weights and I'm not, and haven't done, anything that would've caused damage to the muscles. I've had to lay off the walking and exercise for the last week because I hurt too bad...despite getting two massages...but it's not getting better.

Any suggestions...other than to see my orthopedic doctor (have an appointment but not for 2 weeks)?

New bra?

My shoulders have been very angry lately because I lost the 3 pounds that meant I suddenly needed new bras. Massage kind of helped, but getting a cheap front close leisure bra (ugly and unflattering) to wear instead of the usual underwires (expensive and lovely) helped way more.

Probably not very helpful, but I do feel for you. *Sympathy*

I actually have some fairly new bras that I took a second mortgage on my house to get a couple months ago, so I sure hope that's not the problem!

:hyst: I am sorry about your pain...but your comment is so true yet so funny.
