My new goal weight
After sitting at 160 (which was my goal weight) for the last almost 6 months, I've dropped another 5 lbs and have been at 155 for the last two weeks. I think I'm going to keep it. Last March when I dropped down below 160, I was a bit unhappy with how I looked. I felt like I had dropped maybe just a bit too much...surprising since 160 on my 5'3 small frame seemed somewhat high. Until they measured body fat, etc. and came to the conclusion that I'm sitting here with about 20 lbs worth of excess skin.
At any rate, maybe my skin has shrunk some or the exercise I've been doing has toned me up more, but I'm liking this 155 look. What I find interesting is that I'm actually down 5 lbs but I know I'm sitting here with more muscle than I had 3 months ago and I thought muscle weighed more. So have I actually 'lost' more fat?
Maybe you have lost more fat. And maybe your skin is shrinking.
My friend who had bariatric surgery and lost a lot (she's been at goal for almost a year) is continuing to look smoother and smoother. She thinks her skin is gradually shrinking. She is lovely.
At any rate, if you feel well and are happy with how you look, it's a win all the way around no matter where the loss came from. So WTG!
