I hate hard boiled eggs, egg salad and tuna salad -- YUCK. Something about those salads swimming in mayo grosses me out!

Eggs, especially hard boiled, my gag reflex kicks in at the thought of them
I can occasionally do an omelette, with veggies and cheese inside.

Cream cheese
Any of the coconut products
Bacon, only because it swells me up

When I'm hardcore lowcarb, I mainly stick to salad, veggies and a meat or fish protein.

I also never "got" the Revolution or Oopsie type rolls. They're all eggy tasting to me, and I LOVE eggs.....just not like that spongy thing.
I forgot about these. I too love eggs but not like this. I just made Protein Power's Magic Rolls and they have that eggy texture as well. Not as much but it's still there. Blech.

Almost no food grosses me out, except for pregnancy food aversions (and those go away). I tried beets again as an adult and still think they taste like sweet dirt, but those aren't a lowcarb staple. Oysters are something I haven't given much thought, or liver, but previously I wasn't a fan.

Pretty much everything else is delicious

I hate tuna... Don't like ground beef.... Not a fan of pork rinds. I could actually live just fine without bacon, although I occasionally uses it to season a dish. I dont like coconut oil.

I go back and forth on eggs and avocado. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I cannot stand them. I also will not eat any of the bread or cake/muffin type recipes that call for like 2 Tbsp flour substitute and 10 eggs. I'm exaggerating here, but to me it is not bread or cake or any of the sort. It's just eggs with a tiny bit of LC flour. Disgusting!

^^ yeah, and the ones I've tried still have pig hair attached.

When I see recipes for pork rinds (especially cereals or desserts ) I just want to vomit .

If you don't like pork rinds, try chicharrones, the denser kind with the fat still attached. They taste better, to me. I used to find pork rinds disgusting, but I've become more willing since trying this version.

I'm a lowcarb heathen. I really don't care for bacon.

To me, bacon is a garnish, or something to use sparingly. It smells SO strong, and its so salty.

My 16 year old daughter is a long-time lowcarber and she adores and cooks bacon about once daily, and it really reeks up the house.

Yeah, I know its weird.

But I love eggs!!! Especially the eggs from my backyard chickens. I used to gag on the aftertaste but fresh eggs from your own chickens are rich and savory with no aftertaste.

Seafood/fish. I also tried making some of the flax seed bread but couldn't get past the fishy smell and ended up throwing it all in the trash.

I also have a hard time eating hard-boiled eggs unless I devil them.

I love the smell and taste of tuna salad but it makes me nauseous.

coconut oil makes me gag. (it is now used for diaper rash, that is an awesome use)

I have to agree with others -- pork rinds are awful. I can't stand to smell them, let alone put them in my mouth. Also, avocados. I had guacamole when I was younger and gagged -- avocado is such a slimy, nasty texture. Ugh. Pepperoni. Not sure how many carbs are in it, but my daughters eat it constantly and love it, along with pork rinds. I can't stand pepperoni -- it gives me heartburn just smelling it. I also dislike most ground beef (hamburgers, etc) and prefer ground turkey -- BUT -- I do love taco meat made with ground beef. I tend to love most veggies, but it seems like so many of them DO have a lot of carbs -- I LOVE lima beans, but they are still off limits. I love broccoli and cauliflower (though have not tried mashing it because I don't like mashed potatoes to start with) -- I also love brussel sprouts -- but they seem to be very high in carb too - I wonder why? They are certainly not sweet ...

This was a fun thread. I can relate to so many of you -- but you bacon haters -- I get it, but I don't at the same time. I HATE the smell of bacon cooking, but when it's had a minute to sit and get a little crunchy, I can eat it like nothing else. I am so craving BLT, and I'm thinking i'm going to try the leaf lettuce wrap with bacon, tomato and mayo.

Stacie

Haha! I love it thrown into a sauce.

But cold...on a piece of cucumber or celery or whatever...

i do not HATE any of my ON PLAN FOODS.

but the ones i eat on a regular basis can get boring, because i eat them so often. so, i put those on the back burner for a while, and make other choices. also, as i have said in the past;" tuna at 5 pm tastes like tuna...at 7 pm, tuna tastes like porterhouse". In other words, let us make sure we are REALLY hungry when we eat. It makes all the difference. (btw, i never get bored with steak..y'all can exhale now.) Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Anything made with flax. I just cannot do that texture. I've tried it every which way and it still makes me

I love the rest though - cheese, avocados, cream cheese, pork rinds, chicharrones, liver, and anything else I've seen mentioned in this thread!

I'm not a big veggie eater, but I DO love a huge salad with everything in it.

I can't stand pastrami or corned beef. I also hate the taste of pumpkin, which bums me out because I LOVE the smell of pumpkin pies, and there are so many fantastic low-carb pumpkin recipes. I also really don't care that much for oopsies - they just don't have the "toothiness" of bread which is what I go for, especially french and artisan breads.

I have to be extremely careful of anything processed/smoked/brined, as I have a super salt sensitivity, and if I eat too much salt I get seizure-like episodes.

Eggs for the moment are not something I want to eat, but I will boil up a couple and swallow for food in my stomach. Fueling up without enjoyment is good for me. Food should not be an entertainment activity for me.

Having food for entertainment is how I got into this shape in the first place

I get grossed out by kind of meat or chicken where the bones are still attached (chicken wings and drumsticks), or any type of organ meat.

Ha, I can eat it straight out of the package, torn open and chomped down like an icecream bar. Well, I don't currently. But I've been known to do that in the past when I wasn't counting carbs. Or fat. Or calories either it seems.

I gave up today on the "fake potatoes" made with cauliflower. Been disappointing before, but a couple of people swore to me that *this* recipe was different, it really did hide it. Nope. Yuk!!!! Forget it, I am done putting the time and ingredients in just to throw it all out!

I was a picky eater when I was young. I had a long list of food I didn't like. Over the years I have marked every one of my hated foods off the list except one. LIVER. All kinds, all recipe's. Doesn't matter. I would rather eat an old shoe with dog doo on the sole.
My dad loved liver and onions so mom would make it quite often. I couldn't even eat the rest of the meal when it was on the table. As soon as I smelled it cooking, I knew I was going to bed hungry that night.
