For me, it is simple: with low carb, I get that even keeled feeling of balanced blood sugar. When I'm eating SAD, it's like riding a mood roller coaster. I really dislike that feeling. And I come from a family with a long history of Diabetes, so I was forced to realize that not all carbs are equal. Glad I did!

I eat gourmet great tasting food without worrying about becoming diabetic from the food I eat. I have confirmation of weight loss and know if I'm doing something wrong.

I find that LC meals don't require a lot of fussy cooking, and make much less of a mess in the kitchen.
