I was in the military for 15 years. It really takes away all your phobias about food

I have to say that the turn this thread took has effectively killed my appetite.

You "brush her when she lets you"?!? Oh, my. Who runs the house, anyway?!? lol I never asked mine for permission.

As to the suggestion for a Mexican Hairless... the feline version is a Sphinx. I'm not especially crazy about that look, either! (They both DO have hair -- it's just sparse and fine.)

Some cats absolutely LOVE being vacuumed. With the upholstery brush, naturally. Although, if your cat won't tolerate (?) regular brushings, I think a vacuum-brushing would be pretty much off the playing field. Sorry to say!

Good luck finding a solution!

lol.. how did this turn into a cat/dog thread.

I had 4 cats at one point.. Now it's down to one and 4 dogs. I never had hair in food. But they weren't allowed on tables and counters and had their own cat-room of furniture they could shed on.I don't brush regularly.they hate it and I hate it. It's easier just to vacuum once a week. I would just shave the damn cats if it were that bad.

GME - I actually tried that. It didn't even take anything off. It'll only work on the types that get loose clumps on their hind legs.
