I Could Recall The Taste And Actually COULD Taste It!

Now is this really weird to me! I was watching TV and a McDonald's commercial came on. This guy was biting into a cheeseburger and all of a sudden I could taste that cheeseburger!

It was the the weirdest thing and it wasn't like I wanted to have one, or was craving one. I haven't eaten McDonald's in a very long time but to remember the taste and actually have the taste in my mouth was just to me!

This was the first time this ever happened but I see this as a great thing because if I can "taste" these types of HC things from memory I won't be tempted to really taste them!!

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

A man asked Gautama Buddha, "I want happiness." Buddha said, "First remove "I," that's Ego, then remove "want," that's Desire. See now you are left with only "Happiness.”

Maybe not exactly like this, but when I see the sweets at my food coop, I can sort of taste the intensity of the sweet and decide that is not for me. Well now that you mention it, I can sort of taste the first gulp of cold beer. Used to be a fav, but now I sort of recognize the taste and don't desire it. Same for wine. (once in a while I crave the effect a bit, but not the taste)

Is this sort of like when we know there are things we really don't like (me, and anchovies or beef liver) and that puts us off? I am recalling a negative taste or maybe that I just don't like it, and how much is that like sort of a vicarious tasting?
