Meh, since I am not drinking coffee anymore, I don't need them.... my wife drinks 90% of her coffee at work.

I had been thinking about quitting the beginning of August after I take the bar exam, but then I read this:

That's enough sacrifice.
I am cold brewing coffee now for my afternoon cuppa, it tastes really awesome.
I add ice, a bit of MCT oil and a bit of HWC. It is amazingly good. Did I say I think it tastes great?
And now I am so excited about trying this cold brew thing!

Good luck, Garlic. Once we decide to re-evaluate our woe, there's so many things to explore and try out.

As for me, not giving up my coffee. I've given up enough. I love my BPC for breakfast, and that one cup a day is pretty much it for me---and I can't drink it after 4pm if I want to sleep well that night. And other than occasionally a decaf after dinner out, w/ splenda and HWC---which I like as a cheap and LC desert, I rarely want it after 4. I'm very moderate w/my coffee, and I enjoy it. So no, won't be joining you, but do wish you luck w/your experimentation, and know that however it turns out, it's worth trying it out, if it sounds like a good thing to do to you.

So far so good . Today I really wanted a coffee, don't know what changed .The first 2 days I did not even miss it. Had a cup of English breakfast tea ,well EBBPC if ya understand. However it was not a craving that was hard to avoid.

thing in the world I have done it hundreds of times"

Seriously why give up coffee unless it is giving you health problems it may even
be good for your health.

Dang, I should have been drinking coffee for 30 years then..... I already have diabetes.....

Why not give up coffee if, like me, it is a habit more than something I actually like? All it does for me, is provide more HWC than I probably need, and I don't find it filling at all.

I'm about to go have a cup of some type of herbal tea..... and maybe for the 2nd half of the cup, I may even try Emel's thing where she buts in some butter.... I hated that in coffee, but will see if it is any different in tea.

Day 2 complete, though, as always, out of habit, I went to get some coffee. And as it was 98 degrees here today, a big cup of iced coffee would have been marvelous. Haha, this is harder than giving up bread, by far!

I gave up coffee because it was an addiction. I did not like how I depended on that morning cup to get my day going.
And yes, it was harder to give up than bread.

Coffee is a good source of potassium.
I did switch over to almost all decaf, though.

I use all decaf unless I'm splitting a pot with my husband, in which case it's 1/4 regular and 3/4 decaf. or 1/2 and 1/2 sometimes, but rarely.

What I find weird is that I ate bead every day, but coffee just a few times a week... but the weekend was / is different altogether.... I "really" want coffee today. I never drank coffee until I met my wife.... I would be over her house on the weekends and she had coffee on all the time.... and when I started, the weekends were the only time I drank it. Maybe that is why I want it so much today!

I think I will just have to start smoking.

When I first started low carb, I could not imagine life without popcorn. I also drank tons of soda. Neither of those were too tough. But, the coffee was killer. And I only had a cup a day when I quit. Down from a pot a day when I started low carb. I still miss it, just a little bit.
