Hi! I have been keeping my carbs under 20 for 11 days. I have not lost a pound :sad:. Does it take some people longer to start losing? I need words of encouragement. I don't want to quit. But am very disappointed so far. My husbands keeps on saying "give it a chance".

You need to give it more time. Your husband is right.
Feel free to post a day's menu . . . there may be some hidden carbs.
If you are an older female (like me!) or close to goal, you may have to settle in for a while. Don't quit.
Give it a chance.
Take a look at your food quantity. Are you noticing that you can get full/satisfied on less food now? Take a look at your protein quantity--sometimes if we eat way too much protein, it can inhibit losses because the excess protein is treated similar to carbs by the body.
Fat is fine and filling. Choose nice fatty meats and poultry. Add butter and olive oil to make everything tasty.

I am short and small framed, so your needs are probably higher than mine. For me I have seen good losses since I lowered my protein to 65 to 80 grams per day --that's 3-4 oz servings of meat at two meals, and a 2 oz serving at another meal, along with other protein sources such as dairy and a little nut butter.
Some persons with higher goal weights than mine do 120 g protein, or 150 for good-sized guys. The quantity is very individual.
Breakfast / 2 eggs and 1 sausage patty (little cheese on eggs with franks red hot)
Lunch / Atkins bar 2 net carbs
Dinner / 1 1/2 bratwurst, fresh great beans steamed with butter, salad with Walden's no sugar added dressing
Snack / I made low carb zucchini fritters (zucchini, parm cheese, egg and salt and pepper)

For your goal weight of 145, some experts suggest that you need 80 to 95 grams of protein a day. Here's an old day of mine with similar numbers.
2 Egg, whole, boiled
4 oz 85% ground beef
1/2 Avocado, raw
ranch dressing to dip the veggies
5 oz 85% ground beef
Gelatin desserts,, KRAFT, JELL-O Brand Sugar Free Low Calori...
Cucumber pickles, dill
Edit because I saw your next post-- menu looks good. Some people can do atkins bars, some can't.
Do you think you're eating more than 4 oz total daily from cheeses? Sometimes using butter or olive oil instead of some of the cheeses helps some people.
And please consider using real dressing instead of the Waldens--there's a lot of good full fat dressing with one carb per 2 tbl, and fat is our friend.

For me, I started out just by getting used to staying with the allowed foods.
After I got all the carby gunk out of me, I noticed that my appetite was lower. At that time I started paying attention to eating more fat and moderate protein, while staying at my carb limit (which for me is 20).
So time helps--- in my opinion, it's good to get the hang of the good foods and then tweak it after you see how your body reacts. It is good to see what works and what doesn't work for folks (bars, cheeses, cream, flax, etc) but in the end it's our own unique body we're feeding, so we each will craft our own unique way.
This looks good to me. You could cut the cheese a breakfast,.
THe eggs and sausage would likely be plenty filling and you could save a cheese carb or two (labels often say 0 carb but that is deceptive).
Check the label on your bratwurst, if you haven't already done so.
Can you sub some unprocessed food for the Atkins bar?
Don't feel you need to do everything at once. It takes some time.
I really encourage you to continue.
Bella definately can sub bar for unprocessed food. Was in a hurry. Trying to do to many things on my day off. Lol. What exactly do I want to look for on label of bratwurst?
Check carb count and look at added ingredients.
