Size 18 by Halloween

It is impossible to find any cute Halloween costumes in plus sizes. Size 18 is the absolute max and those are rare.
Sooo...I need to be in a size 18 by Halloween. I'm size 22 now.
4 months...drop 1 size a month?

Crossing my fingers!

You can ABSOLUTELY do this!! I started in a 24 on February 22, and I'm in an 18 now. 100% Doable!!

rcookie 07-05-2013 04:12 PM

CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks for your reply!
Great job!!! It's exciting to read all the stories on here of what has worked for other people.

I've been eating low carb for several months....25g a day. I haven't really been keeping track of the weight loss but will start now as I finally feel like it's starting to come off. It was a slow start.
I need mini goals to keep going so Halloween it is! :)

Measuring your success with sizes rather than the scale is a great way to go! The scale can be so fickle! Good luck, and read and post often! Coming here has gotten me through more than one tough day.

Ok, I know you can do it, but more to the point, what will be your costume??

Absolutely doable!!!

For me, I went down a fill size every 12-15-lbs, so you are only talking about 2 sizes 22 >>>20>>>18  Oh and for the record, I have seen some cute HO/ costumes on line up to a size 22! I forget the site though

Best wishes!!

That's only two sizes, and it does seen possible, but everyone loses at different rates. Good luck, I look forward to following your progress. :)

You have enough time fr that. I'd add in some strength training and or walking for an even better shape! :)

have you added in any exercise? drink lots of water, and get some movement in. If its to hot and you can make it to a beach, pool or lake jump in and walk around.
I myself have noticed that even if I'm not losing, with simply getting up and moving helps with the limph (sp?) drains and helps me flush extra fluids, and tighten things up.

Thanks Queen...
I am walking...Someone advised me not to exercise a lot until I get fully Keto-adapted

mamabat 07-08-2013 12:56 PM

I've went from a 22 to a 10 since January - go for it! Set your goal, and kick butt! :D

PrissyPixie 07-08-2013 01:03 PM

Oooh sounds good.. I wanna try right along with you lol...18 has alluded me all these years I was an 18 when I was 11 years old.... from 215 pounds to 270 im a 20-22 freaking sucks that a size for me is about 50 pounds.. but we will do it!!!!

CurlsNCuffs 07-09-2013 06:39 AM

My daughter (30 yrs old) started low carb in September, she has lost 105 lbs as of today. 10 months.

YES, doable. Good luck.

Aleina 07-09-2013 07:14 AM

Good luck, it is definitely doable and what a fun goal .

Phdguy a test for adaptation is to do the same effort twice, nothing too strenuous something like a brisjk walk in the morning and the same in the afternnoon after 5 pm and before sundown. If the morning walk feels heavy , the afternoon one not so much you are not fully adapted yet.

Mistizoom 07-09-2013 07:15 AM

I'm a size 22 now and I really would love to be a size 18 by Halloween. I think is certainly is possible, but like Ntombi said, whether your body will lose at that rate is anyone's guess. Mine's not cooperating at the moment. :annoyed:

rcookie 07-09-2013 09:35 PM

Thanks for all the encouragement!!! That's exactly the things I wanted to hear!!!

It's amazing to read all the comments from everyone who has been able to lose so much!!

The weight loss has been super slow so far. But now that it's coming off, if feels much quicker. Clothes are starting to feel loose, etc. YAY! It's taken a couple of months to adapt I think.

Reading everyone's posts really helps!!!!

Midlyfechrysalis 07-09-2013 11:11 PM

Good luck, and good job on setting motivating goals.

One "thing" to keep in mind is that there are more "pounds" in the higher sizes than the lower ones. Dropping a size from 22 to 20 involves losing a lot more pounds than going from a size 10 to size 8.

I'm not wanting to discourage you, but to help make your planning realistic. BTW, I have similar goals in terms of timing.
