PHEW that coconut oil is no joke!
Kinda having a love hate relationship with it. Today is the first day I tried it. Have spent most of the day "going". Which is good. No more Psyllium hush needed.

Coconut oil should be added to the diet SLOWLY!!!!

I add CO to a Whey protein shake. I am taking 1 tbsp every other day...The shake really taste good with it :up:

CO never did that to me. Ever. And I used to use 6 T every day!

After I have been off CO for while, the first day or so of adding it back in is awful. It's almost like a detox. I am now consuming 2-3tbsp per day with no adverse effects.

I had a strong reaction to 1 tsp of co when I first started using it and it happened within ah hour of so of consuming it. I now have upwards of 2 tbsp daily but I needed to be very slow with the amount to begin with!

I WISH it had that effect on me! I've been using 4 tbls. In my coffee for quite some time and nada! :dunno:

Same thing happened to me at first. Your body will get use to it, and you will stop "going" so much. lol. :)
But it does keep me regular now which is a good thing. :)

It no longer has that effect - that is why I can consume as much as I want but it is because my system has become adjusted to digesting medium chain triglycerides (mct). I wonder if magnesium supplements would help.

I have also read that adding more fiber can further compound the problem.:dunno:

I've been putting 1 Tbsp of CO in my second morning cup of coffee (second of more cups :) lately, then today added a tsp before my lunch and dinner meals straight off the spoon. So far so good.

Friday night I was a little concerned about my constipation. So, i took a protein shake with 2 TBSP of CO. Next morning, I went to the bathroom. It seems to work for me.

Recently found a place that has gallon jugs on coconut oil for $15. Passed through that town today. They were closed but they still have them so I'm going to pick up a couple more when I go through there in a couple weeks. Can make lotsa fat bombs.:D

This sounds similar to my experience last night... I ate a whole batch of flax crackers before my friend told me that I'd probably be on the can all day today. :/

Gosh, I too wish it had that effect on me. It doesn't seem to make a difference either way.

CO doesn't seem to have any effect on me. Flax however is another story. When I am having a bit of regularity problems, I just bake up about a cup full into flax crackers and the problem goes away. Problem is I have grown to really like them and it is hard to stop at the "proper dosage". :o

I have no issues with flax (I bake the soaked seeds into crackers) nor with CO or MCT oil (although I followed advice to introduce the latter gradually). I am switching to a chelated magnesium, though, because it can do a number on me.
