I'm drinking celestial seasonings blueberry tea with butter

And it tastes just like blueberry cobbler. No kidding. I'm having a Willy Wonka moment.

2kids2cats 06-23-2013 01:24 AM

That sounds kind of gross. LOL Is it good??

emel 06-23-2013 04:55 AM

Actually it sounds pretty good. I don't like bulletproof coffee --I like my coffee black.
But I might like the tea. I have that sampler pack with blueberry, raspberry zinger, wild berry zinger, wild cherry, and peach.

Jackie123 06-23-2013 05:37 AM

:yummy: Oh try them with butter emel, butter in herbal tea is a wonderful thing.

Yeah. I thought it sounded gross at first, too .
Then I tried it....

I love butter or coconut oil in my teas, all different kinds and they all taste amazing, especially camomile! :yummy:

Jackie123 06-23-2013 05:58 AM

Oh yes, camomile with butter was my first love.

Taralb1981 06-23-2013 08:09 AM

Mmm. That sounds really good!

SharonB61 06-23-2013 08:27 AM

This seriously sounds wonderful! I am definitely going to buy some blueberry tea and try it. Thanks.

Weezy 06-23-2013 08:52 AM

I've got to start trying fats in my teas....I LOVE my BPC, but am trying to cut down on coffee for sleep reasons. I did try the chamomile with butter and it was VERY good...currently have some Teavana herbal blueberry and I toss some butter in it today.

I can't seem to get enough fat without putting it in my coffee, so maybe I can get used to putting it in my tea.

Thanks for all the ideas!

Do u add anything else to it? Or just butter?

Jackie123 06-23-2013 09:48 AM

Yes, I do add my deadly mix of sweeteners. Just add whatever sweetener you like best.

Aleina 06-23-2013 09:52 AM

jaja deadly mix of sweetners , love it .
I have an apple pie tea (apple cinnamon ) that I love as well . Another recent discovery is Earl grey with sweet coconut milk and sweetener.

GME 06-23-2013 12:05 PM

This intrigues me.

tobelowcarber 06-23-2013 12:36 PM

Interesting. I don't drink coffee nor tea and never thought I could do this with herbal tea. I am trying this soon. Thanks for the idea!

Just Beachy 06-23-2013 12:47 PM

I don't like coffee, and just drink tea occasionally. However, after all the posts about BPC, I decided to try it in my tea. I really enjoy it, too. It will be breakfast if I'm not terribly hungry. I have to be careful though because too much does seem to stall me.

Anyway, this is my favorite concoction....

I add butter, HWC, Torani sf chocolate syrup, and a couple of drops of liquid sweetener to some peppermint tea. Put it all in my Ninja and blend it up. It forms a nice creamy foam on top and tastes like peppermint hot chocolate. My kids even ask me to makes this for them. Mmmmm.......

I don't like green tea, so I'm trying different flavors. Does green tea still offer health benefits when combined with butter, sweetener, etc? :)

:) Beachy

Would stick blender work for blending butter/CO or HWC ?

Yes, that is how I blend my bpc.

I will have to try the tea! I have lots of yummy flavors in my cabinet. Just never thought of that.

flatferenghi 06-23-2013 01:57 PM

chacun a son gout!

i am too old to make such drastic changes. I began to add cream to my tea (not herbal or green)in 1983. that was the last new trick this old dog learned. Enjoy! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I like chai spice tea with coconut oil, so I guess it makes sense. Which one do you think would be better...butter or coconut oil?

I need to go back to drinking the tea with oil in it, but it's about 110 degrees here! LOL

DiamondDeb 06-23-2013 04:11 PM

Blueberry tea sounds great to me (I love blueberry cobbler coffee!) but I don't want butter or oil in my beverages. It just doesn't appeal to me.

I think that it depends on the tea, but I think the fruit flavored teas taste best with butter. :)

SugarFreeSheila 06-23-2013 04:46 PM

Sweet! I would love to try that. Thanks for the idea, because that's a great tea in its own right.

creativelc 06-23-2013 04:52 PM

I like this Healthy "cool aid" tea recipe:

5 fruit or berry tea bags (Celestial Seasonings) Zinger tea bags include "Red Hibiscus" which helps to lower blood pressure.

Steep 5 fruit flavored tea bags of your choice, in 4 cups of boiling water for 5-6 minutes.
Add 4 cups of cold water. Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of Braggs Cider Vinegar. You might want to add 1 tablespoon at first, but I like to add a little more.
Sweeten to taste. Chill. Serve over ice cubes.

Sunny7 07-08-2013 07:37 AM

is this with salted butter, I just bought some blueberry tea, and I usually use coconut oil, but would like to try the butter, I do like a splash of cream in the BB tea and a touch of sweetner,,,like having a dessert

tobelowcarber 07-08-2013 08:32 AM

Where do you buy the blueberry tea? Is this black tea with w/blueberry flavor or we are talking about herbal blueberry "tea". TIA.
