Celestial Seasonings Recall

Hi,

I don't drink this tea anymore because of the pesticides in it. As far as I know it is still under investigation as a product and has had some mass recalls:

That actually sounds intriguing! I buy the Bengal Spice tea and put butter or cream in it. Such a treat! I'm going to have to try the blueberry one. Mmm. Thanks.

UGH. Now I read the thing on the pesticides. That's a HUGE bummer. That Bengal Spice is one of my mainstays.

ETA: Here's a couple links that dispel some of the concern from that article.

So... I went out and got some blueberry tea. It's not Celestial Seasonings, it's Bigelow. And it's goooooood. I put some cream and stevia in it and hel-lo! Yum, yum. Thanks for suggesting!

I used to love my hot chocolate, but now that I am LC I can't drink it anymore. I really like to have tea (pretty much any kind) with a sprinkle of Splenda and some HWC. It is just as decadent as HC, but I don't feel bloated and icky afterwards. I my just try some butter since I love me some butter.

We just went on a cruise and for dessert I had a bowl of berries, some cheese and my tea with cream. It was very satisfying and a lovely way to end the meal. I ended up losing 5 pounds that week.

While on the cruise we stopped at Victoria, BC and I found some Ice Wine Tea. I love Ice Wine so had to try the tea. I must say it is quite good. I also just spent a small fortune on a tea at Teavana called Youthberry and some Wild Orange Blossom. Mix them together and they are divine. Add cream and it is even better.

[QUOTE=Mom2AandE;16516526]I used to love my hot chocolate, but now that I am LC I can't drink it anymore.

I always make my own with Hershey's special dark cocoa, almond or coconut milk and a little hwc.

Celestial Seasoning Teas have a high amount of pesticide | Metabunk
Thanks for those links.

I bought CS True Blueberry and just had a cup with 1/2 T (real) butter and some Splenda. And I'm not partial to teas.

Well, I tied it, and it was slightly better than BPC, but I won't be making it again.
