Beans

How many of you have succesfully added them and continued to lose weight or even maintain?

I made chili with beans last night. Ate quite a bit of it. Still showing in ketosis on the strips. I have it for lunch too. Then it's gone.

I really miss beans...
I know I am only in the first steps of my LC journey, but I am hoping that in the near future I can add them
By the way, I love your quote

I love them, but exclude them. They give me cravings. Good for you that you can enjoy them. My metabolism cannot take them anymore.

The only beans I use are black soy beans...they have a very high fiber count so they are pretty low carb....i eat them very sparingly as beans don't agree with me.

I am maintaining my weight and I eat beans- fava, kidney, black, pinto.

But, I also count calories so my portions are not huge so I don't eat a ton of beans at a time.

Me too. I mostly add them to salads or have a small portion as a side.

I am close to goal now and once in a blue moon when I want homemade chili I make it with black beans. No problem that I can tell. I have not ate them aside from that though.

Last week I tried to eat a small portion of pinto beans, but it stalled me, so I chose to not have them while I'm losing. When I was maintaining my weight many years ago and was at goal, I ate beans all the time and never gained. I think they are a healthy source of protein but, aren't good for weight loss. At least not for me.

I am able to eat beans and maintain. I am not actively trying to lose right now.

I substitute mushrooms for beans when I make chili to keep it low carb.
