Julian Bakery Paleo Coconut Bread-I tried it.

Yes I know there have been a ton of threads on Julian Bakery. I've posted previously about the new line of breads, specifically the Paleo Coconut bread and wanting to try it.

It has 35 calories per slice, 6g total carbs, 5g fiber, 1g net carb.

The ingredients are only: Purified Water, Organic Coconut Flour, Egg Whites, Psyllium Seed Powder, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Potassium BiCarbonate (Potassium), Salt.

So in my mind, it seemed possible that it was accurate. I really really been wanting to try it. I bought a frozen loaf at a health food store here.

The texture isn't the best best I've ever had, but honestly it's not as bad as everyone keeps making it out to be. I think toasted would be the best, but I didn't toast it, I just warmed it up. The slices are fairly small, but it's enough to make a burger or sandwich.

I ate the whole loaf over the course of two weeks and it did not effect my weight loss what so ever. So I think I'm a believer, at least in the Paleo Coconut bread.

Just my review for what it's worth.

I know the feeling of finding a bread that fits your woe, and that you like. Of all the white food, I miss bread by far the most. But for me, Julian Bakeries coconut bread didn't work, couldn't get past the texture. But everyone's tastes are different, and it's a personal journey to find out what works for us and what doesn't.

I LOVE Trader Joe's sprouted wheat bread, at 4 NCs a slice. It's a healthy sized piece, great texture and absolutely delish, particularly toasted and buttered. It is not for those who abstain from any wheat, as it does have wheat flour in it. But for me, the net carbs are small enough to fit in w/my woe. I have 2 to 4 slices a week, and it works great for me.

I have been wanting to try this, but I was so afraid it would stall me. We have it at a local store where I live. I think this weekend I'm going to pick some up and give it a try and see how it works for me. Thanks for sharing this info and your review with us.

Yeah, I really didn't like the almond bread, but I think that bc I hated that so much I may have given the coconut bread short shrift. I'll have to try it again. Thanks for the critique!

I finally found this at my Whole Foods!!! It is in my freezer (it isn't in my WOE right now) for when I am able to have it. Looking forward to it, but am a bit nervous. We all have our own opinions and cannot wait to see what I think.

Hi...I'm in Ft. Worth. Which store did you find this bread? I've looked every where for it & no luck
