We had a tray of brownies in the house this weekend, and every time I walked by it or cut one for the kids, I'd take just a tiny little bit. Over the course of the weekend, I probably ate a whole brownie, which isn't a big deal, I guess, since I'm not trying to stay in ketosis or anything. But it would have made tons more sense to sit down and really enjoy it with a cup of tea if I was going to have a brownie.

Logically I knew this all along, so why do I still do things like this? Ugh.

I used to work for a doctor who would always come into the lounge and eat whatever we had brought for goodies, but he's cut off a little chunk, go back to his office, come back for a tiny bit more, etc. Usually 5 or 6 times. he liked to joke that he worked some of it off just going back and forth to his office. Nice try!
