I buy it at Costco for 3 bars (8 oz each) for $6.79, plus tax, I believe. I think it tastes great! It's richer, creamier, and more yellow than other brands. It also seems to get "melty" at a lower temperature than other butters. If I take it out of the fridge while I'm cooking, it's soft in about 10 minutes or so.

I bought an 8 oz bar of salted and unsalted today at Trader Joe's. They were $2.99 a piece. I also found some shelf cream. It is cream that does not need refrigeration. Has anyone heard of it or tried it?

I've never had the cream but our milk in the military was like that.

Boxed nonrefrigerated milk is common in Europe and I suspect other places too. So I suspect cream can be packaged in the same way?

I bought some lovely goat butter yesterday. White with a sweet taste.
The brand is Meyenberg. Drescibed as European style but seems to come from California goats.

Now I'm dying to try it! I'll pick up some Kerrygold the next time I spot it.

I've tried it, but couldn't tell much of a difference between it and my regular organic butter. I am not one to eat butter straight, though I do like it on and in things.
