So, you see, in reality, while I say 3 months, I really know I can't go back to not eating low carb.

This is what it really important. Your health. The weight is just a side effect of not eating optimally for your body. I am glad you realize you must eat LC regardless of your weight. I have come to the same conclusion. I am glad to be losing, don't get me wrong, but I am going to stick to LC eating because I know it is best for my body in the long run, even if I never lose another ounce.

I don't love daily fluctuation, but I do understand they happen. I don't understand 2 net pounds in 3 weeks. Plus, it has taken me 3 years to lose 60 pounds, prior to low carb. Three years. Not even half a pound a week.
I may have you beat - my five year losing anniversary is in October and last I checked I was down 93 pounds. For five years that's pretty slow, though there were reasons. And yet, the time was also spent with no it regains or yoyoing. And that HAS to count for something, no matter how slow I went.

For me, maintaining is easy. It is the losing that I struggle with!

I wish you could give the Atkins Induction 20 carbs a try to start. Then after two weeks start up the carb ladder. But during induction only eat the foods listed. Its a wonderful way to see what foods do not work well for your body and what stalls you when you begin adding.

But whatever you do we are all behind you and wishing you the best!

OK, here are 2 days:

Day 1:

Breakfast.... 2 pobalno peppers, 6 ounces of ground beef, spices, 2 TBS sour cream, coffee with splenda and 1 TBS heavy cream ( I eat this OFTEN )

Lunch: Deli ham ( 4 ounces ) mustard, diet pepsi or crystal light

Dinner: Ribeye and a potion of veggies... usually spinach with butter

8 PMish: Depending on my carb intake so far in the day I make this smoothie...

1/2 or 1 whole avocado, 2 TBS cacao powder, DaVinci's SF vanilla, ice, water, 2 TBS cream.... sometimes I add a bit of coconut oil, sometimes not

Day 2:

Breakfast: 1.5 cups of homemade Palek Panner ( Indian cheese with cream, spinach and Indian spices ) Yes, I do eat this at breakfast.

Lunch: 3 eggs and 4 pcs of bacon, 1/4 chopped bell pepper made as an omelet. Cooked in butter. The bacon was pre-cooked usuaully.

Dinner: Buffalo Chicken wings with homemade sauce.... a similar style to Franks hot sauce, but made with habanero peppers, blue cheese dressing, and maybe 1/2 stalk of celery

8 PMish:

A protein shake with 2 carbs, ground instant coffee, SF vanilla syrup, ice, water... and if I need fat, I add cream, if not, I don't.

Most days I have a 12 ounce serving of coffee at some point with cream and splenda, or davinci's SF syrup.

If I ever need a snack in the day, I grab some deli chicken or ham. I don't really do fat bombs with coconut oil right now, but I will when the new microwave comes in.... ( easier cooking than heating on the stove ).

Those are pretty typical days....

Actually, I don't make "wings"... I use thighs or legs with the skin on, no breading.

EDIT, and tonight, because I have only had 8 carbs ( gross carbs ) today, I will have a small / medium garden salad, with 1 slice of onion, 1 slice of tomato, and tuna salad, heavy on the mayo.

This is just my personal opinion but from your menus (which look very good for the most part, by the way):

try cutting the artificial sweeteners out (both splenda, diet pop and DaVinci syrups). I see an awful lot there, and while "legal" they can stall people

cut back on the heavy cream

I'm curious how many calories the menus add up to each day because it seems like plenty of food but I would leave out the after 8:00 shakes

Maybe these ideas will help and others will chime in. I understand how frustrating this weight loss journey can be. Hang in there

the hwc was a stall for me, but not untill I was very close to goal.
Truthfully at less 2300 calories and <30 g's carb I simply don't understand
why you are not losing.
Are your clothes fitting more loosely? perhaps the results are showing more in inches than in pounds. Sounds impossible I know, but there are many here who have had that experience, especailly if you are working out.

Oh yeah! Definitely losing inches... lots in fact.... but only 2 pounds in 3 weeks.

OK, so, I will put the scale away for 2 weeks after a weigh in tomorrow. And I will continue to log everything.... and hopefully in 2 weeks, I will see 3 - 5 pounds gone. I have this very serious desire to be at 250 by my birthday in August.... 262 today.

Thanks all. I am done here unless someone asks me a question.

You all rock... thanks.

Wouldn't you rather be losing inches than to weigh less on the scale?

The man on the street is able to observe when you're getting smaller,
but NOT when the scale is measuring you lighter.
Be happy with the loss of inches- it's going to stop
and then you'll be losing on the scale,
but your clothes will not feel any looser.
This is the way it goes.
You'll lose poundage for a period of time,
then you'll lose inches for a period of time.
And so on...

Yep, that's how I tend to lose as well. Primarily inches but not weight, or vice versa.

Hey Garlic... sounds like you are doing a great job staying on plan! Congrats!

Weight does fluctuate throughout the course of a day and week, based on how much water and salt you are taking in, bowel movements, etc.

Take a look at this graph of weight loss by a member who very successfully lost weight and maintained it. You will see its up and down, up and down, but the overall trend is down (weight loss).

Impatience Killed The Cat .. or Why To Stop Obsessing and Tweaking ...

I think her words in this post are very wise as well.

That is my thought, too. Inches lost mean fat lost & that is noticeable. The scale just tells total weight at any given moment. Just because it goes down does not mean you've lost fat.

I'd be happy with a large number on the scale as long as my body was very lean. I really don't care much about the number on the scale other than as a tool. It mostly tells me things like I need to get more sleep & olives cause me to retain water while pickles don't.
