***GOAL***GOAL***GOAL***

The scale showed me that I finally dropped that last pound.
Odd that I don't have this 'jump for joy' sense of accomplishment.
It's acutally more of a humble sense of gratitude and satisfaction.
My personal history is not full of examples where I made sacrifices to
achieve a long term goal. This milestone is not just a demonstration of Atkins style LC for weight loss, but is actually a validation of my ability
to change.
I am humbly grateful to all my low carb friends. There is no doubt that if it weren't for this site, I would not have found the knowledge and support needed for this achievement.
Thank you all.

:jumpjoy::jumpjoy::jumpjoy: YAY! That's great! How do the new jeans fit now?

SlowSure 06-05-2013 07:45 AM

I've been lurking for a while, wondering how you were faring with the last 3lbs after your HWC revelation.

Well persevered. :)

LOL....that "new jeans" thread was a hoot.
They fit fine. The 'relaxed fit' blue ones are almost loose.
The 'regular fit' black ones are a little more snug, but still quite comfy.
Thanks for asking.

I just came back from the health food store. I am adding a few things. Today in addition to my organic meats I bought some red cabbage fermented saurkraut. Actually not too carby, but new for me. I'm interested in improving my gut flora without resorting to supplements.
I thought of adding a little more hwc to my coffee, but I've come to appreciate the taste at just one tbsp.
I also switched from sour cream to yogurt. The yogurt has a few more carbs but I think there's a bigger nutrition bang for the buck so to speak.
So far that's it. We'll see how this works out and then maybe take another look.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

CONGRATULATIONS!! That is absolutely fabulous and I am really happy for you. It is wonderful to see you (and others) reach their goal since it really does inspire me to believe that one day, I too, can make a post like yours!

I would celebrate by doing something wonderful for yourself (that doesn't involve food :P )!

Dont' know any of you from the threads I follow but the ***GOAL*** jumped out at me and wanted to say congrats! It is so nice to see that people can really stick with it and lose the weight! I am one of the few "orginals" on the threads and woe I follow after 8 months which isn't that long of time and see so many people come and go and constantly chaging diets. Nice to see you made it there! I would like to hit 135 so maybe some day you and I will be in the same size jeans! LOL
