Congrats!!! Thanks for sharing the ups and downs of your journey so far with us all. It's so great to see goal goal goal on the thread title, it must be even better to be the one writing it! I personally find fermented foods make me feel pretty good, and sooo tasty. If you like them you can even start your own, it's pretty easy! I am pickling some radishes this week! Congrats and keep us all posted on your maintenance!

Yay! You did it!

NOW you have to be ever-vigilant - sorry but it's true. Maintenance is its own set of learning experiences! Take it from one who has been maintaining 10 years now - there is the occasional wobble from the course, but I KNOW what the course is, and get back on it ASAP.

GOOD JOB!!

I thought of adding a little more hwc to my coffee, but I've come to appreciate the taste at just one tbsp.
I also switched from sour cream to yogurt. The yogurt has a few more carbs but I think there's a bigger nutrition bang for the buck so to speak.
So far that's it. We'll see how this works out and then maybe take another look.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
Ferments are an EXCELLENT choice. They help circulation, digestion, gut flora composition, and are very filling for the carb/calorie bang (when we're talking sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickled veggies). The yogurt isn't a bad choice, just be careful as dairy, especially if it isn't full fat, can be very easy to overeat and load us up on carbs without the satiety.

The bigger variety of ferments you can consume the better - diversity is key! You may still benefit from a good probiotic from the refrigerated section, but I think adding in from food sources first is the best idea.
