Ugh, what is wrong with me?

So basically I'm slinking back YET AGAIN to this WOE. I know it's the best for me. I know I feel waaay better (in all sorts of ways) when I eat this way, but because I'm a lazy head and eating crappy food is easier I fall off the wagon. I tell myself it's okay because we go to the gym SOMETIMES, so I keep eating the junk that I "enjoy."

*Sigh* So here I am again. Heavier than I have been since I had my son 9 years ago! I managed to loose 2lbs with cutting out sodas and MOST snacks, but yeah..I still feel like you know what.

I'm here and I am going to try to stay here. :( I hate I've let myself go this far without trying HARDER to stay with it.

:(

llisarray 05-22-2013 07:12 AM

Welcome back...I did the same thing...it's easier to eat carby foods. I feel sooo much better eating low carb though.

princessmommy 05-22-2013 07:28 AM

Come here Everyday! As many times as you can and read, post etc and we'll help you. I have to do that a Lot! With the stress of the tornados/storms and my cousin passing away yesterday I stayed on LCF off and on all day yesterday because I felt like all I wanted to do was Eat!

I'm starting up Induction again. I tend to feel better/do better on very low carb, so I may stick with that.

Thank you! I wished I could but we are such a tight budget I would feel so wasteful dumping out all the food in the kitchen that didn't fit. I'm doing this solo for now, so I'll just have to practice self control until the "bad foods" are gone. lol Then be sneaky and work in more low carb options everyone can and will eat! :D

Thanks for the tip! Yeah this place helped me out so much last time! I just kind of fell away and got super duper lazy. :( It's my own fault!

I think for many of us it takes several (maybe even dozens :hiya: ) of tries before this becomes our dominant way of eating. For me, I think each time I've gotten back to it, I am closer to really being there. Think of it as a work in progress.

And good luck! In a couple of days you're gonna feel great and powerful! :)

I feel the same way to. Never give up because this could be the time it sticks for you.

Welcome back! Another Bama girl wishing you the best!

I've done good carb wise today but I have the headache from YOU KNOW WHAT! I didn't think carb withdrawal started so soon. I know it's not caffeine withdrawal and I have been GUZZLING water. :(

This is going to be hard. I've been fighting the "eat some toast...your headache will go away...."

Me toooo!! I live in Oklahoma City. Everyone I know is safe and accounted for; I have not suffered and losses of property but I am having a lot of anxiety. I can't focus, I'm having a hard time falling asleep. I want to eat non-stop even though I'm not hungry! I feel like I'm in a fog, or hungover. I hope you get over that hump soon. I understand!

I had the headaches you are talking about! But I did quit caffeine in the beginning. After two weeks, I resumed my caffeine habit.. Still had the headaches but maybe for only another week or two. I've been Atkinsing since March 12 and have never felt better- but the beginning sucks. I like this quote : If you are tired of starting over, stop quitting! Don't know who it belongs to, but I remember it everyday.

This quote is awesome! Thank you! I really needed that advice!

:goodpost:

"dominant way of eating" This is the key to success. I love that phrase!

Hang in throught the early days, before you know you will be fully committed.
I restarted towads the end of March, so I am 8 weeks in! Not to say there haven't been a few days that are challenging, but overall the trend is absolutely in the right direction. I am not weighing myself (my June goals are to start weighing once a week and tracking what I eat), but I know my clothes are looser. I am patient and that is good enough. I have some low energy times, but by far my higher energy days trump my butt-dragging days. My nails are starting to grow out (I am a chronic nail biter/picker), so that's a sure sign my anxiety levels have decreased. I have also started my coffee again, one of the few induction rules I don't continue to follow.
