Don't forget, they have some with sugar, and some with no sugar added. Here's the info on the no sugar added version.

There's a similar product, lower carb called Artic Zone I think. Comes in about 4-5 flavors. Also a bit $$$ but not bad tasting.

The product that I posted about is sugar free!image.jpg

Here is a pic I took right off the carton. As the original poster, I included a picture of the nutritional data right off the carton in the original post. The products that are the aqua colored containers like this one are the sugar free products!

I actually spoke with the company yesterday as they are local here in Oregon and confirmed that if one deducts sugar alcohols and count net carbs, it is 4 carbs for the 1/2 cup serving and 12 for the entire container! Again, I personally continue to lose while eating this product, ymmv!

Would love to find this but I haven't seen the no sugar added varieties. Might have to ask the manager at my grocery store to order some, as they have gotten a lot of other "no sugar added" foods lately. The store does sell the Artic Zero but I think it tastes terrible.

Just bought my first carton of this yesterday at Whole Foods---I got the Vanilla bean flavor. It is delicious, creamier than the real thing, AND scoops well right out of the freezer rather than being hard as a rock. I also picked up some coconut crisps at Trader Joes and sprinkled them on top. YUMMERS. I also think this will be incredible w/blackberries---the sweet and the tangy. Can't wait to try the other flavors.

I'm not an ice cream head, and never ate more than a small scoop of the real stuff, so I'm not worried about over doing it. I had my one small scoop last night and that was plenty for me. But it's just one more small treat I don't have to deny myself on my LC woe.

Thanks so much for sharing the brand. I was searching and searching for a reference and only could find the nutritional info. Now that its starting to warm up, this will be a wonderful treat!

Not anymore pricey than the specialty ice creams they have that contain sugar ben and jerry's for example.

And if it's low carb and made with coconut milk you can expect to pay more...most specialty food cost a bit more...if I went to the ice cream shop and got a cone it would probably cost as much...I guess we have to decide if it;s worth the money...in Marieze's case it seems she feels the treat is worth the extra money...I too have this ice cream and have it on occasion...it is very good.

I emailed the grocery store where I do most of my shopping and asked them to carry sugar free varieties of the So Delicious coconut milk frozen dessert. They already carry the regular ones. I also thanked them for carrying more no added sugar products lately. We'll see what happens!

Misti, if this gets you nowhere, go into the grocery store and talk to a manager. I've done this often w/the grocery store we shop at most often and I've had a lot of success w/this. Since the grocery store already carries So Delicious, the chances they'll agree to add the no sugar variety are greater than if they didn't carry the line at all. Space on grocery shelves I've learned, is an incredibly competitive thing.

LOL...I know space is competitive so I suggested they ditch the Arctic Zero! I did get an email back from the website manager saying it is being forwarded to the store manager. So we'll see....

Thanks to the OP for mentioning this product. I'd love to try it. I'll have to see if I can find it at a store near me. I wish it were a bit less money, but it's true that enen Hagen-Daz is not cheap.

Btw, which no sugar added flavors are there?

Tracy

At my Whole foods, in addition to the vanilla Bean, they had chocolate, and mint chip. I visited their site and they also sell a no sugar butter pecan.

so delicious and artic may retail for the same price as ben & jerrys, starbucks etc but publix frequently runs BOGO on them but I've never seen BOGo on either so delicious or artic.

Hi Guys!

It's the OP here! I just left my Safeway store (same as Kroeger, I think) and paid $6.05 for a pint! What the hay!!!!! Oh well, it's really the only indulgence I allow myself on the weekend or special occasion, birthday etc.

My store carries the Vanilla Bean which I bought and the s.f. mint chip. I have yet to see the butter pecan but a different store here carries the chocolate which I haven't tried yet!

It makes me feel good that you all are trying this delicious, guilt free product! And no, I'm not a spokesperson for them!!!! The company is on fb also...

I was So excited when reading this thread...

That excitement ended though, when I went into the grocery store this morning and saw the price

$7.89 per pint!! :

They had another brand too ( that I never heard of..) Said 100% No Sugar on the front, can't recall the name though

Anyway, it was even higher

I just posted on the company's fb page what they were charging at your store and said that it was cost prohibitive for most people. Let's see what their response is!

THANKS!!!

I sure wanna try it, but at that price, the guilt would certainly over shadow any perceived pleasure I'd get outta it

I'd get in the kitchen and get real creative with my own LC concoction, before spending that much...Especially for only a pint

Wow, 7.89?! Are you near a Whole Foods? It's about 5 bucks there. And since I only eat a scoop at time, it's well worth it to me. Had it w/blackberries and a sprinkling of Trader Joe's coconut crisps last night. Delishmo.

Unfortunately, No...But I think there is one in Raleigh, however, the gas spent on the two hour trip, would offset any savings

I'm bumping this thread because I just tried the Vanilla flavor today, and I am in looooove!!! Wow! It feels just like regular ice cream, and is not overwhelmed by coconut flavor.

So far I have not been tempted to eat more than 1 serving, because of the chicory root in it. I've had, um, bad experiences with inulin in the past, so I'm not keen to overeat this. Especially if I'm not going to be near a bathroom, ha ha!

It was around $5.50 at my Kroger, which is a little steep for me, but worth it for the occasional treat. They didn't have the Mint Chip, but they did have Chocolate and Toasted Almond Chip. I will try them all!

Can't believe I waited so long to try this. I always hated coconut, but I've found a growing fondness for it since I started LC.

It sounds wonderful but I'm staying away from this type of food until I am at my goal. Then I will test it. The problem I see is, i won't be able to stop at the half cup serving size. Especially if it is as good as you say and I'm sure it is. Thanks for posting this because one day I will give it a try.

This stuff is good! I asked my local health food store to get it, and he did so in two days Lol! I am allergic to dairy, so this has been such a treat for me! I bought butter pecan and vanilla bean, and both are delish! I couldn't eat more than one serving because I was quite satisfied with that amount. I don't see any portion control the issues for me!

Don't forget to go to their website where you can install the coupon printer software if you don't already have it and download coupons that can be doubled!!

The mint chip and chocolate are my personal favorites. I, too, have no problems with portion conteol as this stuff is REALLY filling!!

I found the vanilla and chocolate no sugar added versions of this at a local store. Only tried the vanilla, but, OMG! I love it. So tasty and creamy. Thanks for letting me know about this product.

Full fledged ice cream addict here and I CANNOT eat more than half cup or so of this stuff. It is super filling for some reason? In any case, it is delicious. I have only been able to find the Vanilla and Mint Chip at $5.69/pint which I will gladly pay! I am dying for the Butter Pecan or Chocolate. The website also mentions some kind of Chocolate Almond or Mocha Almond? I need to find them!
