First week of restarting atkins huge changes.

Hi guys,I lost all my weight with atkins 2 years back ended up gaining 40 lbs back :cry:Thats not bad news because now i think i finally have it under control.I Dont even desire the junk food anymore.I forgot how truly delishious low carb food was.I gained the weight from being lonely and depressed.I would bake cakes, cookies and pies and lets not forget my favorite "chips ahoy cookie puddin"(basically southern banana pudding but instead of using vanilla wafers use chips ahoy choc chip cookies)I would eat the entire thing in one sitting watching tv.Ordering pizza hut etc before i knew it i looked up and i was puffy faced, bloated and feeling awful,i could barely walk without limping like an old lady and my loud snoring reared its ugly head again. Not to mention my skin looked absolutley terrible !Enough was enough!I grabbed myself by the boot straps and restarted atkins since 4-19-13 i have

*Lost 11 lbs

*I can walk now like i was 16 years old.foot pain 100%gone

*My skin has cleared up 90%(and will be improving)

*My energy levels are through the roof

*My hair is amazing its just getting longer and longer(and thicker)

*I am not constantly starving.Or obsessed with my next meal

*My snoring has stopped.

*I can breathe a whole lot better (sinus clarity)Which means i can slow down and really enjoy my meals and take in all the aromas and flavors better.

I can go on and on

I also made a huge poster on my door that says

"No carbs allowed beyond this point "

"No eating after 7pm water only "

It has helped me and everytime i think to eat something crazy or eat late i have that big sign in big black letters staring me in the face and i change my mind!It works!Try it!

Low carb is slowly but surely helping me regain my life im so excited as i have made low carb eating, planning and shopping a game or hobby for myself so it gives me something to do with my time.If this is only the first re-week.Imagine how i will look and feel in 6 months:jumpjoy::jumpjoy::love:

I guess you can feel the excitement i feel through the screen lol:jumpjoy:

anyone who is feeling bad about weight and other issues and thinking about low carb DO IT!!!you will feel so good.My rant is over yall.

I restarted about a month ago and no going back. Like you, I am drawing upon my own experiences as well as a wealth of knowledge of this site. Feeling really strong today. It's kind of fun being able to customize a WOE and to create structures which can help us meet day to day challenges. The support here is a huge part of that.

Sugarfree, I believe a big part of my regain was starting to drink wine and even beer again. Not a lot at first but it really crept up especially this last year. When I drink I am more anxious and less careful about what I eat. My eating habits over the last year and especially over the winter were poor, to say the least. So my prime directive in my new restart, is NO drinking alcohol. I've gone with out for over two years so I know I can do it again.
