What do you eat for LC sweets?

Curious for some new idea's on LC sweets. I buy the Atkins bars like crazy but they are expensive & I don't like to eat more than 2 a day because they are not as filling for the amount of calories they contain. What LC treats to you have that are less than 5 net carbs per serving?

I like the lc donut muffin recipe and usually make it in a silicone loaf pan. Like it better kept in the fridge than warm or room temp. I have now added some berries to my diet, so also enjoy strawberries stuffed with cream cheese frosting(softened cream cheese, splenda, vanilla flavoring). Also protein shake made with vanilla whey, unsweetened almond milk, stevia, etc. Fat bombs, cream cheese clouds.Once in awhile peanut butter cookies if you can limit yourself(I cup pnut butter, 1egg, and splenda equiv for 1cup sugar and 1 tsp flavoring). I am still afraid to make a whole cheesecake, recipe of brownies, etc. Don't trust myself..........

I can't eat those because they stall the heck out of me, and actually started to make me gain it seems. And I was only eating one every so often Usually I'll either make some cream cheese clouds or I'll drink something with SF Torani syrup stirred in... like a cup of unsweetened almond milk with syrup in it. Kills my sweet tooth in no time

Here's the recipe for the clouds by the way. I think you can link to here now anyway because I don't believe she sells anything:

CREAM CHEESE CLOUDS - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

Either that or I make other fat bombs... I've made chocolate coconut ones before with chocolate protein powder and coconut oil with a little heavy cream. Froze them up and they were awesome!

Carb Smart fudge bars. 4 net carbs per bar.

I usually mix a spoonful of chocolate whey powder with some water and whiz it in the blender. Sort of like a Yoo Hoo

I like a little dark chocolate or once in a great while I'll have 2T of natural peanut butter w a packet of truvia and some salt mixed in. Also, once in a while I'll have pecans fried in kerrygold with some salt and truvia sprinkled on them.

If I'm out, a starbucks iced coffee w sugar free mocha syrup and HWC.

I used to have a sweet treat of some sort every day, but I have really gotten away from that and it's actually quite a relief to not feel dependent on it.

I too stay away from sweet things, too tempting! But if I HAVE to have something, pb and Cool Whip or a very generic Fat Bomb of coconut butter, pb and Splenda.

I am avoiding all sweets. Trying to read all labels for any hint of sweeteners. Not missing them, but if they were in front of me I might trip.

I have a sweet after pretty much every meal. My regulars are a handful of grapes, some strawberries with or without whipped cream, a square of dark chocolate, or a small chunk of Artisana cacao bliss.

Artic Zero also make a pretty good " mint Chocolate Cookie" Ice Cream.
Not sure how may folks here like this product, as its not 'totally' low carb. But its pretty low carb, VERY low calorie, and also has high protein content, which help calm down my hunger.
So -

Its my fav at present. Then when makes myself a dish of this ice cream, I will top it with waldens farms choc syrup and some homemade whip cream, its really delish and completely guilt free.

Where do you buy this yogurt? What brand is it. I've had much difficulty finding it.

I don't eat anything sweet (right now) because I avoid artificial sweeteners like the plague, and because I need to break the "I need something sweet!" cycle.

Funny you mention that. I do this too. I would like to steer away from the sugarfree jello mix at some point but for now it works great to remove the bitterness of the yogurt. I use the raspberry or lime. I tried the banana cream but the pudding mixes don't mix as well in the yogurt & have a bit more carbs.

What is the carb count & serving size on the dannon yogurt? I looked at tons of brands of yogurt & decided on the greek plain yogurt (great value brand from Walmart at $3.98 or Chobani's at $5.48 for its remarkable protein content (23 grams per cup) & only 9 carbs (the lowest I've found).

I'll have to try some of these clouds & other desserts mentioned, they sound great!

I really have no die what the carb count is. There is some debate about whether the sugars in yogurt are consumed but the active cultures. I have never had an issue losing wt while eating this.

Sorry if it seems a stupid?, but how do you keep track of being LC/Atkins if you don't count your carbs? I find there are so many differences in NC from one brand to another that it can be hard to be exact, but I log in everything I eat on ********* & have been since 6/2011. It helps me to see historically what I was eating when I lost the most weight, if I was exercising daily, NC, fat, protein during that time, etc...

The only carbs I get are from veggies and yogurt and occasionally fruit. I don't know how many that is because of the yogurt question but whatever it is it is LC enough to keep the wt coming off. I would guess somewhere between 20 and 40 per day
I do use a tracker but because the yogurt thing is an issue I'm not certain of the true number...

Raspberry herbal tea with splenda. Pork skins with butter spray, cinnamon & splenda (shaker for each).

I can't do Aktins bars on weight loss... though I love the granola flavor... triggers cravings for me. All such stuff are just modified carbs... but still carbs. I think all the sweet foods & drinks are the root of all evil!

Yes... even if you know how many carbs the package says it has (which are measured when packaged, and packaged with carb-eating microbes), you can't really have any idea how many carbs are in the yogurt when you eat it. This drove me crazy when I was eating yogurt. I will say though that I had to use a fair amount of insulin to cover non-sweetened full fat yogurt, like probably very close to the amount I would need if it had just as much carb as the package says. So, it may be that the acidophilus-digesting-the-carbs effect is not as substantial as we'd like to believe. But, you never know. It could just be a quirk in my system, too.

Hi Jayne-
Interesting that you find you need insulin coverage essentially for the carb count given on the container although I have read some folks get a spike from dreamfields pasta while others don't experience anything significant. I can't go near dreamfields without falling off the cliff
