Wow!! pants size from college days!!

WHOOP WHOOP :jumpjoy:

My clothes have been hanging off of me, and with a visit to family in NY
coming up I decided it was time to do some clothes shopping.
I knew I had to go down in waist size from the 34's I have been wearing, (which is down from the previous size, which is down from the previous size)
so I got a pair of 33's and they were too big. I couldn't believe it. Yes, I know that different companies can vary widely on how the same size may actually fit, but still......this was great news.
So I went and put on a pair of 32's. OK...so these were tight. But the Lords of fatness have a solution for that too.....It's called 'relaxed fit'
Since I was buying wrangler jeans, they had the same 32's but in a relaxed fit.
Voila...perfect fit. I bought two. The good ole blue jean and for formal occassions (lol) a pair in black also.
I haven't seen a pair of pants in 32 inch waist since I was in college. that was a loooooooooooooooong time ago.....I graduated in 1971.
So there it is, another LC success story.
I'm still on OWL and so expect to lose some more fat, but my weight loss is slow these days, and that's fine. I expect to enjoy these new jeans at least untill next fall.
Hooray for all of us who will need new, smaller sized clothes this spring. :high5:

Good for you! Strong work.

Fabulous! :congrats:
I dare not to even think of the size 32 jeans again. That was my avaition cadet size 50 years ago just after college. Just broke into 38s from the 42s when I started and am overjoyed at that. When I reach my 195# goal that will likely be about 36s. Havent seen those in 30 years. At my advanced state of "senority" I am afraid that getting back to 32s might mean loss of a lot of muscle mass, but time will tell.

bethierose 04-25-2013 08:22 AM

Congrats! I know that has to feel SO good!

lterry913 04-25-2013 08:30 AM

Just as an fyi...in college I wasn't what anyone would call 'skinny'
but I was certainly trimmer then than at anytime thereafter.
I'm not worried at all about muscle mass, because I work out a gym
regularly and have added muscle since going lc.
I think what's important is that we lose fat and gain health.
these little markers like pants size and scale weight for example
are just fun little ego boosters that can keep us going.

Phranquie 04-25-2013 11:06 AM

Congratulations. This is definitely a fun ego booster for sure! Thanks for being such a great inspiration on this board.
