What's your largest meal of the day??

I was just looking back at some of my food diaries, and when I first began LCing in 2011 I believe my biggest meal (and also most carbiest) of the day was dinner. However, two years later, I am finding my biggest meal to be lunch--I'm thinking this may be due to my more 'normal' schedule, or the fact that I'm most hungry in the afternoon but oddly enough, I also seem to 'run out' of carbs by the end of the day....

I usually average around 300-400 cals (4 carbs) for breakfast/dinner and then lunch around 500-600 (10 carbs) . Snacks if needed are around 100-200 (2 carbs) usually 1x per day during the weekdays.

Just curious what is everyone's biggest meal of the day and has it always been that way, and maybe a reason for it?

Dinner at about 6pm.I am in the kitchen cooking for him indoors and the boy so I might as well cook my big meal then too.Just convenient I guess.

My dinner's the biggest, and definitely the most fattening of the bunch... also almost all my protein comes from dinner weirdly enough. I'm not sure if that'll ever change or not, but it seems to work for me. Except on days I'm not feeling particularly hungry like tonight

Dinner, even though it's probably not the best option. But I've always been just naturally prone to consume more later in the day.

Most of the time it's Breakfast, then lunch and a smaller supper. But not always. I think I lose better if I eat my biggest meal for breakfast

I generally only eat two meals a day, though I might have a snack too. Both meals are about the same size, but the dinner is the carbier of the two. I do better with my higher carb meal later in the day. But it's all relative, since I eat under twenty total grams of carbs daily; even the higher carb meal is very low.

I'm not good with a big breakfast. I have to be up for a while to be able to eat. I will mostly have tea (often with a teaspoon or two of coconut oil) first, and then eat a lunchy/brunchy meal somewhere around 11am-1pm. Then dinner will be maybe 8-9pm. I try not to eat a big meal within a few hours of going to bed, though I might have a fatty snack like a tablespoon or two of Splenda-sweetened cream cheese as a bedtime snack. That's only if I'm actually hungry, so maybe once or twice a week. I can't go to sleep hungry.

I do have hungry days when I'll eat more, or more often, but that's not my norm. I follow my stomach.

Dinner for me too. If I eat a big portion of my food during the day I feel very deprived in the evening. I almost feel panicky. If I save that bigger meal for the evening after working out, I feel like I will be ok until bedtime. Before LC I had a major eating problem t night so I'm sure this is why I feel this way.

I spend the majority of my daily carb budget on dinner and my evening snack. I know conventional thinking is to eat lighter later, but that won't work for me. I'm not tempted to eat off plan during the morning or afternoon, but evenings are always tougher. This way I am feasting during my vulnerable time.

Getting home from work, settling down for the evening, enjoying a lovely decadent dinner and tasty dessert while watching shows or movies with DH are part of the lifestyle I enjoy, so I made sure to make my WOE work around that. So far, so good.

Dinner for sure. That is the way that it always has been for me. I am pretty busy during the day so I couldn't eat a big meal if I wanted to. Plus I am just a best for last kind of girl.

Breakfast is my largest meal. Dinner is usually my smallest just because I am busy in the evenings. I always cook my daughter something..she is 4 and picky... and I have a salad/hard boiled egg/cheese.

breakfast and dinner are my big meals.
For lunch I generally have a "snack" usually some sour cream
sweetend with torani sf syrup, I toss in some walnuts and berries.
Mmmmm so delicious. It's a little carby, but really satisfies, especailly
after a workout at the gym.

I am still settling into my plan, but for now breakfast is the biggie, followed by lunch.
But I am really restricting carbs in reverse order, none at breakfast, a few at lunch, and more at dinner. I am an early riser, so my plan is to have a snack on hand late morning and mid to late afternoon. We will see how it goes.

Breakfast, usually a mini-quiche using up meat leftovers from the night before with a bit of cheese, is my "big" meal in terms of calories, but it is usually the smallest in terms of volume (about the size of my fist). Dinner will be a little more carby and be a greater volume (more veggies), but less calorie dense.

all my carbs are before 9:00 a.m., and my largest meal is at that time. this is the only method i've found that keeps carb cravings total away.

Since I began my weight loss journey, my biggest meal has always been breakfast. I suspect this is because I'm basically a "morning person" (at my best before noon), so morning nourishment is important.

Unless I have a social engagement, I just have 'meals' of about 100 cal at other times in the day, and I'm usually finished eating by 4 pm.
