Totally off subject...are those pitties in your profile pic? I have a pittie and she's just about the sweetest dog ever!

Michelle, Let me know how it works for you. It would be nice to know it's not just in my head! LOL

MrsKuby, those are my pits. We're diehard pit lovers at our house, and they're the most amazing dogs I've ever known. We have just the 2 in the picture right now and 1 Rottie. I love our Rottie to death, but there's sometimes about the pits that just steals your heart.

Doing some research and came across this study. Basically, they fed ACV to rats, half of whom they had made diabetic. Both the diabetic and the control rats saw significant improvements in blood lipids.

Would love to see a similar study on humans!

That's very cool.

I don't drink ACV for the weight loss aspect (although.... hey, a few pounds would NOT hurt!). I take if for all the good things it's doing for me internally.

It definetly helps with PMS. I'm symptom free this month. Hooray! And no bloat! Double hooray!

I didn't get my ACV in yesterday at all and I'm retaining a lb. I did eat a ton of chicken wings so maybe thats why lol.
AWESOME idea!!! I am so doing this!!!!

I'm on day two now...mixing 1 tablespoon of ACV into about 20 oz. of water 3x day. I've had a nasty headache since yesterday evening. I'm one of those who RARELY get headaches and doing the tonic is the only change I'm made.

I'm wondering if there is some sort of detox process happening? Anyone else experience anything similar?

Thanks!
I am prone to migraines and can not drink red wine due to the sulfites. ACV contains sulfites, BUT i have not had a problem with the Heinz unfiltered for some reason. Before i read this thread I was drinking the filtered , diluted in water, and i was having TERRIBLE headaches, almost migranes. maybe you are sulfite sensitive?

First of all, I gotta say I think I'm freaking addicted to this stuff now. lol I look forward to it. And I have a cold now and it's really soothing, and I wouldn't be surprised if its helping a bit.

I hope it does this for me! My blood lipids were my primary reason for starting.

I had no cramps with my last period (think this was my first since starting w the ACV), which is not my norm. Another thing that has made my PMS and my periods much better is cloth pads, odd but true!

Interesting idea! It may be.....years ago I had problems with red wine and I attributed it to sulfites, but in recent years have had no problems at all.

It'll probably remain a mystery because the headaches are gone now. They fortunately only lasted a little over 2 days.

Now I'm just addicted to the 3x day habit of ACV!

Weezy, YAY!! I'm glad the headaches went away! I've been getting sick to my stomach after I drink mine. It didn't happen when I was drinking the wrong kind (filtered). So I think it must have something to do with the Mother. I also get tummy bubbles...I've been way more bloated too. Seems the more times a day i drink it the more bloated I am. I have thyroid issues, could it be that? Does anyone else have this issue???? I really want to reap the health benefits, but not at the expense of gaining 10 lbs of fluid.

Hi AddysMommy, I also have thyroid problems but I'm experiencing just the opposite as you. I've had much less water weight gain this month during TOM than usual. The first few times that I drank it, if I drank it on an empty stomach, my stomach did get a little queasy, but after that I was fine. Now I start my morning off with it every day on an empty stomach with no problem. I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with your thyroid, but I'm definitely no expert! LOL I hope it gets better for you so that you can keep drinking it!

You can also use those straws to core your strawberries.
