Hungry for Change

I saw this documentary on Netflix, and decided to watch. I'm halfway through and enjoying it so far, kind of a stay on lc motivating type of documentary.

For those who have seen it, thoughts?

Huh, is it actually ABOUT LC? Or is it just easy to watch it, and keep LC in mind as your WOE while you watch it? I haven't seen it yet, but I think I do have it marked in my instant queue from before on Netflix

They don't like to call it LC, but pretty much more of a whole foods approach. Right now they are talking about juicing, which doesn't interest me at all, but it's an easy watch. I like when I can see ideas about eating broken down into forms I can understand. Overall, I don't agree with everything, but it's worth the watch.

Huh, thanks for the heads up! I don't think I'd be very interested in the juicing aspect either but I don't mind learning about different ideas even if I'll probably never use them. You never know! I'll have to give it a watch

Some of it might especially be helpful for when I'm in maintenance, because while I don't want to add in TOO many carbs... when I do, it's going to be the healthful whole food sort like reintroducing fruits and slightly carbier veggies

I am juicing and just finished my third day. I feel amazing and I am losing way faster then i did on atkins. I am down 7lbs and feel better than I ever did on atkins.

I just posted a thread to see if anyone juices.

I am loving it!!!!!

IMO, juicing is the opposite of LC: all of the sugars, none of the fibers. Bad idea for people with any kind of insulin resistance or even a propensity for hypoglycemia. My blood sugars are fairly stable, but even they would be horribly erratic if I were on a juice only plan.
