There is a possibility that your calories might be a bit too low. In some people when the calories get too low their body drops its BMR and staying warm is one of the things that gets sacrificed. It is a survival mechanism in response to the reduced calorie intake. Try bringing them up a bit and see if that is any better.

At my heaviest I was almost always overheated. I'd feel faint and sweaty in the summer sun and kept the house at 62 degrees in the winter. Now I'm always cold. In the summer I drive with no AC and the windows rolled up and usually have to take a hot water bottle to bed. Still, I'll take being cold over the misery and discomfort of being too hot any day!

I used to be hot all the time...and panicky feeling during the summer because I couldn't cool off. Now, I seem to get chilled easily, too. Maybe it's the reduced inflammation in our bodies now that we are losing weight??

Cold ALL the time, and I live in Arizona where it really doesn't get cold! Even as heavy as I am, I'm cold all the time, but since I started this WOE, it's even worse. I can't wait for our Arizona Summer Heat to get here!!

Yes. To the point that my muscles tighten up and ache constantly in the winter.

However, if you haven't lost considerable weight, I would consider adding more fat calories to your diet and see if that helps. If you haven't had a drastic change in weight, it is probably metabolically driven.

My tip... A heating pad! I used mine at work all the time!

ooooh good idea with the heating pad! I live in upstate NY and my office is on the top floor of a very old building. We don't even get the regular heat in the office, we have a separate heater that makes a lot of noise and doesn't heat very well. We have to turn it on every morning so we have to wait hours for it to heat up. I have several heating pads, definitely bringing them in!

I also hate how it just warmed up to like 50 this weekend and now it is back down to the 30s. My body adjusted to the warmer temperature and now I am FREEZING, so I had to put the heat up! Grrr. I just want summer already!

My thought is also that it could be thyroid related. Feeling cold is one of the most common symptoms of hypothyroidism. It's 70 in my house right nowadays I'm freezing. My thyroid is well managed and my levels are good, but I still experience subclinical symptoms.

I am always freezing, but then I keep the temp at about 67 in my house (astronomical gas bill last month) I've always been cold natured and always gotten colder after eating, even before low carb. (when my grandmother and I used to go to Frisch's to eat, we had to make a special trip by the house first to grab our jackets and if we had shorts on, put on long pants. We nicknamed Frisch's "Freezer's" because it was always so cold there)

This is my 8th day and I am cold. However, before LCing I was experiencing hot flashes. Now I haven't had any! I'll take it! I can always put more clothing on. I will get arrested if I take clothes off! LOL
