New goal - non weight related

I have decided that I new a new goal to shoot for. I hit my initial goal of 175 back in January. At that point I decided to shoot for 169 since I haven't been in the 160's for probably 30 years. I'm close now 171.5, but the weight loss has really slowed - which I expected. At this weight I'm in a size 10 Levis, and feel great, and being 51 and going through menopause I'm quite happy with what I have accomplished. However, I feel like I need a goal to work towards, so I don't slack off.

A couple of months ago I started walking again (when the weather would cooperate) When I started my pace was over 18 min/mile and I could barely go a mile. Today I walked/jogged almost 2 miles, felt great and my pace was at 17:05 mn/mile. So my goal now is to get it to below 15. Not sure how long it will take me to get there, but it's something to work towards. I know I'm not breaking and speed records here, but for me it's an accomplishment!

Astribling, congrats on the weight loss, and I am here to tell you that you don't look 51. I think that your new goal is a great idea. Like you, I am working on a faster mile. I started around 18-20 min/mile, and now I am 14-16 min/mile.

And I'm happy to see that my 15 min/mile is not totally unrealistic! Keep up the good work yourself!

Congrats on your success so far. I think that we only get better if we chalenge ourselves, so definitely go for it.
