Miracle noodles = awesome!

I was so excited when I first found of about miracle noodles not to long ago I was like to myself this can't be true! But then I looked at reviews for them and it seemed to me people either loved them or hated them.. Seeing this i was s little worried i wasnt going to like them..Well let me tell you I loved them! I picked some up from whole foods the angel hair kind and made shrimp alfredo my boyfriend took the first bite and said omg it's so good! I took a bite and thought it was delicious! To anyone not sure about trying them I say go for it! Can't wait to try the rice as well :)

Good to hear! I just split a carton with a friend from a Groupon. Was reluctant too, but look forward to trying.

Also, Sea Tangle kelp noodles are great!

Here is a recipe sticky thread for them. I posted quite a few pictures of recipes on there. I love the things.

I love them too, my favourite is the Fettuccini shaped ones!

I felt the same way..sort of scared to try them at first. Now I'm addicted and order in bulk. I like getting creative with them.

Is there any particular brand that tastes better vs another brand???

What is the taste difference between these and TOFU shirataki? I've had the tofu kind, and they are kind of rubbery. What is the texture like on these? They are only 2.79 for 1 bag on netrition, so I ought to get a bag and see for myself I suppose. I've been getting by on Dreamfields, but carbs or not, they are still full of wheat and gluten. :(

I am making shrimp pesto tomorrow and was gonna use spagetti squash for the noodles but might try the shirtaki noodles instead. I've used them in Asian dishes and they were delicious!

I've never tried the tofu, but most posts about them are that the texture and taste is a little better than the shirataki without tofu.

It is really important to rinse the noodles/rice thoroughly for several minutes...I always use hot tap water. When I use the noodles for soup or stir fry I cut them at this point. If I am putting the noodles or rice in soup, I don't bother with dry frying. For anything other than soup, I put the noodles/rice in a hot dry skillet for 3-4 minutes which takes some of the moisture out of them. I really like them - but I haven't had pasta in a couple of years!

There are many recipes and tips in the link MsWoods posted.
