Taking a break...

...from daily weigh-in's. I've noticed that I've been fluctuating a lot the last few days. 1 or 2 lbs I can handle but these have been closer to 4-5 lbs swings. It can actually get kinda discouraging. I've decided I'll do a check in's Monday mornings for the next month (April) and just stay away from the scale. Hopefully this will help me become less OCD about every LBS.

i weigh myself daily and drive myself crazy. i try for once a week. but i have to admit i looked yesterday and today (restarted monday) and was not happy...loss then gain...overall small loss. now i'm off it until monday.

Yeah, if it affects your mood for the day, or discourages you, maybe lowering your commitment, stay away!

I weigh daily, and chart my weight, and the scale bounces its way down, but it does keep moving down over the long run. I weigh daily, measure monthly, get my Bf% done every so often, and I chart all of it. Daily fluctuations are to be expected with the way my body is. Weighing daily is one way for me to keep on track, not because the number is always what I want to see, but because I know that if I eat off plan, or don't drink enough water, the results will be even worse in the long run. But we all need to do what's best for ourselves.

This is my weight graph. You can see that the scale does the bouncy bouncy constantly. You're not alone!

I used to weight everyday but now I've cut it out until Mondays because I can't deal with the emotional aspect of it. PLUS it's really not that important to me anymore. I love seeing a lower number on the scale and I DO have a weight loss goal but health is my utlimate goal.
