Around here the kitchen stores still sell the chargers, they just keep them behind the counters & you have to ask for them.

I don't know if they sell the actual cream whippers.. although I bet they probably do.. but if not, I'm sure you can get one from amazon.

I've had mine for ages and I love it.

For those who use whippers with chargers.. I have a couple of them and used to use them all the time.. I haven't for awhile but wanted to use it this week.. Do you all know how long the cream stays fresh in those things? I don't have my packaging I don't remember so I am not sure. When do you throw out the cream after its been in the fridge for awhile?

I grew up eating cool whip but it looks like I am in need of an iSi! My mother in law works at Williams Sonoma, I'm going to have to hit her up!

Because it's simple heavy cream, you know it's no longer fresh when your whipped cream starts to taste like whipped sour cream.

In other words, basically, it should stay fresh something like the time it would've stayed fresh in the original container from the store. (As long as you keep it in the fridge, of course...) If you check the sell-by date on your cream before you fill the whipper, that'll give you an approximate date. (A piece of masking tape on your isi would allow you pencil in that sell-by date.)

Hwc usually has a much later date than regular milk, so the cream does last a while in the charger.

Mine lasts as long as the sell by date which with hwc is often quite a while. But I use up the half pint by two weeks most generally.

My new frother also whips cream in a jiffy. If you're just going for a bit here and there, and have a frother, use that, it's amazingly fast. I whipped some with a bit of coconut oil the other day, and it took just a few seconds. It's good not to waste a whole charger when you don't have to.

I use my stick blender. I use a big coffee mug to prevent splatter and only whip the amount I should be eating. Only takes a few seconds and not spending extra money on the chargers. If I had one of them, I would constantly be going in the fridge and squirting it in my mouth.
