Italian dressing question

I love Italian dressing, but some are too tangy and they irritate my mouth. Are there any store bought brands that are more mild and low in carbs?

Thanks

I don't know about that. It's the the vinegar that makes it tangy and defines it as 'Italian' (oil & vinegar). Maybe you can google a recipe and use less vinegar (cut it with water) and hold the sugar. I used to make the Good Seasons packet of Italian Dressing and I sometimes used a little less vinegar cut with water, but I actually really like the vinegar (red wine vinegar). You can add parmesan or romano cheese to the dressing to mellow it a bit.

I used to work at a restaurant where they made their own Italian dressing. They filled a container 3/4 full with olive oil, the other 1/4 with vinegar and then dumped in a bunch of Italian seasoning until it looked right. The customers seemed to love it. Maybe you could try it with a lower acid vinegar.

I like Newman's Own olive oil and vinegar dressing. It's not tangy italian dressing, but it is absolutely delicious. I like to massage my chicken with it before I bake it

I really like the dressing from Olive Garden. So when Sam's started selling it, of course we snatched up a 2 pack. When I got home and read the label, the carb count was low enough but there was no olive oil in it at all, just some kind of hydrogenated oil. What a disappointment.
