3 weeks in - update!
 
Well its been 3 weeks and I am down 15 pounds!

Yesssir it feels good!!! I cant say that I dont miss eating the pizza, pasta, bread, and sweets, but I can say that I do enjoy the food that I am eating and I do feel so much healthier already. My wife is an Angel who is cooking me up some very tasty healthy food and switching it up continually so I dont get too too bored and for that I am extremely grateful! lol

I have a long long way to go to reach my goal but I am not even looking at it like I need to reach my goal....I am looking at it like I made a life change of eating and am now just living my life. So eventually my goal will just hit, but I will still keep going on the LC WOE!

Thanks everyone for all of your encouragement and for the truly inspirational stories!

I think that's one of the most important things in this journey we're all sharing, is not only to care about that "goal" we have in mind... but also to care about ourselves and our bodies and how much healthier we feel with this WOE. When you make it a lifestyle change and dedicate yourself to seeing all the positive effects it has on your body, you're far more likely to see the value in continuing on with it... and that's great! That's why I always liked saying WOE much better than "dieting." :)

Congratulations! I'm creeping up on 3 weeks (on Monday) and it's amazing how much better just a simple lifestyle change can make. I'm proud of you and your willingness to commit! The first few weeks are the hardest, and some days I feel like I want to sink back to high carb life but I always think about why I started...the scale read 200 when I weight 145 2 years ago.
